My Mood: | Possible PS3 Slim Info Magazine offers images and pricing of PS3 slim For those who can't see the link. ![]() Image from Flickr user Mhiblart Here comes another set of renders somehow linked to the Chinese magazine GameWave (please click on the source's name to see the gallery). Although this is not the final stamp of approval, many have already confirmed the PS3 slim's existence in their minds. Beyond that, other information gathered from the magazine tells us that the new slim PS3's price will be set at $299. The cover has the exact same design as shown to the right. As a reference, this render looks nothing like the last PS3 slim spotted in the Philippines, which itself also lacked resemblance to the PS3 slim captured in a Chinese manufacturing plant. Some netizens are more willing to believe the older photos than the current one due to its eccentric design. However, the same argument was put against the PSP Go when the pictures were first leaked. Either way, the announcement should be soon if there really is anything to announce.

Why are people so obsessed with a slim model anyway? Unless they come up with an external HDD, I don't see it happening. |

All I want to know is the HDD space on it, that and what is it with Sony's obsession for hideous console design. From what I hear, they're phasing out the current models for this one and the parts to make PS3s have become cheaper. I've also heard there was a patent for PS2 emulation made recenty. Crappy design aside, if it has good HDD space or at least maintains the current standard AND has PS2 backward compatibility, they'll start making customers again. Now they just need games |

| Re: Possible PS3 Slim Info Aside from finding a lot of non-exclusives you'd probably enjoy, here are a few exclusives that might pique your interests: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ninja_Gaiden_Sigma_2: Slightly improved graphics, and online co-op! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PixelJunk_Shooter http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Knight_Chronicles: A great looking RPG with online co-op that's already out in Japan. Demon's Souls: An action RPG that looks very deep and the only game I've ever seen that requires co-op or game invasion to bring yourself back to life. MAG: A game that boasts online shoot-outs of over 200 players. |

Ya well, the really short list of PS3 games I want says the PS3's price needs to drop a whole hell of a lot.

They need to hurry up and make Persocom PS3s... Because hugging that odd-shapped box makes me look like a weirdo. <_<;

Nothing compares to the Beast that was the Sega Genesis + CD + 32X in terms of hideous design. I'll refer to you the AVGN for a proper analysis lol.

I'm hoping this render is just plain fake. That's even worse than the original PS3, which was pretty terrible. Anyway, I don't really care too much about PS3 until they toss backwards compatibility back in. Without it, I've got plenty of stuff for my PS2 still, and it's not worth buying a new console. WITH it, my PS2 is probably dying for a replacement, and I am heavily desiring a PS3 for MGS4 goodness. |

Current PS3 design sucks, and this new one looks horrid -.- and I agree with Feba (holy crap I know) I have no desire for a PS3 until backwards compatibility is restored.

And, there's nothing wrong with the PS3's look. So, somebody shopped a grill into it. I've seen better.

Not everyone wants the new "shinny" games the older ones are half the time better, and its getting more and more true over the years. Alot of new games suck in comparison to older game play, they just look good, nothing more.
