If he is agoraphobic and has an anxiety disorder to that degree then it bothers to question how he eats, has a ps3, has enough balls to file a lawsuit and make an interview. I would also like to know how exactly he knows he has these things if he is not seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist. The true definitions for psychological disorders are different than what most of the public understands, in order to have them one must fit defined criteria according to the DSM.

2- Agoraphobia and anxiety doesn't mean he avoids all contact with the outside world, although it is curious that he would file a lawsuit like this.

3- Tons of people self-diagnose. Duh.

I play Socom Confrontation.. and there is A LOT of trash talking. Some people on there have said so much mean rude shit that they wouldn't dare to say to your face and they NEVER been banned. I mean insulting peoples kids, moms, dads, sisters, ect.. I never heard someone call another person some of the worst things I hear on Socom. Sony should know if there;s competition, there will be trash talking. If they want to ban this guy for doing what everyone else does, then they need to ban 90% of the PS3 community.

there is a difference in trash talking, and the things you mentioned, and what this guys has done. Really people need to learn control. Its off that some people dont get banned, but its like speeding, alot of people do it, but only half or so get cought.

I classify it as "talking shit" online and that's what people do in online games. Regardless it's disrespectful and goes against Sonys terms of use and everyone, including myself, should be banned if that's the case.

He's suing for a bit much though. Anything you download on the PS3 transfers over to other accounts as well. So he can just make a new name.

I think it is the multiple warning thing that seals it. Yes people trash talk, yes people go out of their way to insult people in online games. But if you have been warned twice and didn't even bother to turn it down enough not to get noticed then I can't say whole heartedly or even logically it is unfair for him to get banned.

Compared to people I hear day in and day out saying horrible shit and they're still playing religiously still talking smack.

So if he is afriad of crowds of people, is he petrified of battles groups? Anways he could be taking Paxil and seeing a therapist if he really wanted help and probably would have some outside friends. If he was being an A-hole to people online and expected not to get complained against nor punished because of his "disablility" than he has other issues to work on. Online games are meant to blend people together and no one is above the rules, so my guess is the case will not hold weight.

Well we don't know what he was saying and thats a HUGE part of the decision. I trash talk when I play COD but there's trash talking and then there is being an asshole. I think he was being an asshole and probably using racist and extreme derogatory comments. As Sekighara said, he was warned multiple times and everyone who plays online knows you only get so many warnings before you are banned. He chose to keep doing what he was doing fully knowing the consequences of his actions and now he's crying foul?? Sorry, I feel absolutely no sympathy for him even with his condition (if he even really is agoraphobic).

The problem that agoraphobics have is finding a therapist that will do house calls. Most people charge extra for that and many times insurance companies won't pay the extra charge right off the bat. You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get them to finally cave in (if they ever do). Since a psychiatrist has to write the prescriptions for meds, this further complicates the issue since even fewer psychiatrists do house calls. (Most insist on at least one hour long appointment to assess and you also have to have blood work and other tests done.)

One of the treatments that I saw at a conference a few years ago involved virtual reality. I stood in line for an hour and a half just to get a crack at it since I'm such a geek. LOL Eventually an agoraphobic has to address going out into the real world, doing this via virtual reality really helps to prepare them for the real world. I thought it was a GREAT tool especially for younger patients. Though I found the headset to be a bit heavy/bulky and it hurt my ears and nose where it sat on them. LOL

Believe me when I tell you.. I heard it all. I consider that trash talk. Trash talk is anything to make someone mad at you as you put them down. Not just saying "You suck you're a noob." I was called a N***** Jew multiple times on numerous games.. And yet I still run into these guys time to time who say the some thing to everyone else.. I never said I felt sorry for him, but i would like to see a lot of other guys punished as well but that wont happen. You get what I am saying??

Report it. I imagine that's how this guy was caught the first time. He got the warning and Sony probably started watching him more closely after that. He was probably 'singled out' by other players.
