Hopefully Nintendo irons out the kinks. Adding in an 'easy' mode, or 'very easy' as the case may be might also be a good idea. Can always make new save points inoperable on higher difficulties; just have the power cut off like the one in the Sunken Ship in Super Metroid.

I don't think they need an easy mode. Easy Mode would require the power suit's system to say "This way, stupid." with giant arrows appearing in the visor. Difference between Prime and other Metroids was reading was actually involved.

An event log might be helpful so you can remember where you left off and what you were trying to do, but that's about as far as I'd go with making it easier on people.

This game is a done deal already, just comes out in August. I don't really see any other changes happening before release.

I mean in terms of things they haven't told us yet, not things they might still add. And just in terms of reducing combat difficulty, not the exploration element.
