Producing units is an aspect of the game with a low skill ceiling. If one player is keeping up continuous production and the other keeps letting his resources idle then obviously strategy is going to play a very minimal part in determining who wins.

Make sure you set the rally points to where the battle is so your 1000 marines can march and kill anything on the way over there.

Exactly. If I see a wave of zerglings coming at me for example, I'm going to stop whatever the hell I was doing and try to pump out as many firebats ASAP because marines (and sadly siege tanks) will get slaughtered. Well, the tanks not so much if I have the high ground and something to bar the 'lings path but it doesn't take them long to shred a tank once they're in attack range. |
