My Mood: | Re: Top 5 Fav video games of all time? Is that Persona 3 FES? Otherwise, color me confused on the abbreviation there. As TGM said, I've been at the gaming thing a while, so it would be hard to just do a simple top five. Unlike some people, there's always room for dethroning something in my Top Five, so its always subject to change. But if you look at my avatars from time to time, you'll figure out what my favorites really are. The SMT series most recently has won a lot of respect from me in the last year, so its way up there. |

1. FFXI - the most addictive game ever.... 2. Baulders Gate - the whole series just kicked ass. Great story line, great characters, really so much you can do... 3. Pool of Radiance - on the commodore 64, this is the 2nd most addictive game ever. I'm talking about coming home from school / waking up, running to my buddies house and then 100% entrenched until bed. Anyone play this? Quick nostalgia for ya. You know how you could "rent" the services of the Hero or the Warlock, etc. We would hire 2 heros, take them to the bar and get ina fight. We'd cast stinking cloud on a space next to them so they'd go unconcious. An enemy would attakc and kill them then we'd sell there +1 plate mail and bracers +1. LOL! For those of you that haven't played, I apologize for taking away that 45 secs of your life. Such a fun game... I actually played in on PC 8 years ago just for fun... Anyways, I digress.... 4. Warsong - ok, again, anyone play this epic game? So much fun! I think i'm going to go on ebay and buy a sega and the game tonight... Thorne and the alligator guy were chumps... 5. Bionic Commando - it was a hard decision making this number for. This game too was bad ass, and incredibly tough (the first time we played it.) The ending (s) is legendary as well. My buddy and I were so pumped when we made it to then end, adrenaline was kicking! We thought we beat it but no, imore fight. We thought we bea it but no, i more shot. we thought we beat it, but no! now you need to escape the building! man... Well, that was fun... Sorry for my ramblings... NOSTALGIA FTW!!!! |

Going in reverse order, cause that is how I roll. 5) Friday the 13th Most people really hate this game, but it is one of those that I can put on and play and nearly always enjoy. It is NintendoHard and the controls take a while to warm up, but it is still an insanely fun game. One thing I love about this game is that it is one of the very early games where it was smart to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each character. For example, when Jason attacks the children on the lake, you're going to want one of the counselors who can row fast to be kept in one of the cabins by the lake, so you can minimalize the amount of children Jason can kill. 4)Super Smash Bros. Brawl It is an incredibly fun fighting game, and the cutscenes for the subspace emissary are some of the funniest things to ever come off of the Wii. When I have multiple friends over, this is the game that gets the most play time, by a landslide. 3)Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Not much to say on this one, other than it is awesome, and if you haven't played it, go and do so now! 2)Final Fantasy Tactics While the PSP remake had some great stuff added, I find I enjoy this game much more with the horrendous translation job that is the PS1 version. You can tell that they had no time and l i t t l e m o n e y to finish the translation. When a character has three different spellings of their name in the game itself, you know you've achieved awesomeness. Again, I love this game because I can pop it in and be engrossed and enjoying myself. Even if I haven't played it in months, all I have to do is take a quick glance at my troops, and I can usually remember what build I was working towards or if I can't, I can see a build that looks interesting somewhere in there. It is also a game that gives you ample opportunities to play around with you setup. There are very few battles where you have to have your team set up a certain way to succeed, and those are mostly the ones where you only have one or two team members on the field. 1)Final Fantasy XI Well, duh. |
