Gametrailers.com - Final Fantasy XIII - Kick Off Trailer

I prefer the HD trailer but not everyone can view so I'm posting SD's. Finally some good glimpses of the battle system in action, and it's looking a lot like FFX-2.

I am so beyond happy they got Mark Hamil and Kevin Conroy. Shit they've even gotten the original writers for the series! It's too bad they couldn't get Bob Hastings though.

Hamil's Joker laugh isn't quite the same as it was before, but I'm still giving to him. To me, he's the best joker ever (though I suppose equal credit is due to the writers since it was an animated series, Hamil really sold it.)

That wasn't Mark Hamill as the Joker, it hasn't been that long since he last voiced the character (like in the Batman Beyond movie). Whoever it was, he's doing a fair job.

I don't think that was Kevin Conroy as Batman, either. Someone else was trying to get close to that performance, but not quite there. But, again, whoever it was is doing a good job.

So long as Paul Dini or Denny O'Neil are writing it, it should be a good story.

But Batman games have had comic book writing talent on hand before and good stories to boot, but they still were marred by poor developers.

Only nitpick I have of DC writers and the Joker is they never can stick with main series cannon when they write the character. Perhaps that's because Joker's various personae all have something likeable about them, but he's supposed to be the dark, nihilistic Joker right now in the comics. But once it goes from Morrison to someone else, its usually "theme crime" or "caper" Joker.

"Caper" Joker is close to the dark, nihilistic Joker, but he's really just out to piss Batman off and that's sometimes where Dini would go with him, so I'm assuming Dini is writing the story here.

All that aside, I wish they had used Tony Daniel's art as a reference for this game. Or at least Jim Lee. Whoever drew up Arkham Asylum needs to be shot in the face, everyone looks terrible.

Yes it was he was confirmed months ago for the role.
