I was gonna import anyway.

Thinking about it I'll probably import al lot of japanese PS2 games too (like X, X-2 and the persona games), just need to adjust my PS3 to be region free for PS2 games.

But because of the new region distributions (since Japan and America -continent- are in the same region for games and blu-ray movies) I'll probably never buy NA versions of JP PS3 games unless they include Japanese audio like Valkyria.

This is because SE chose to delay the PS3 release.

It was supposed to be out for us as well in Dec on PS3 but since the decision to multi-platform it, the game has been delayed.

This is old news.

It's a 60Gb PS3 so they just need to put a chip on it to make it region free. (For PS2 games)

Sorry, I agree with Kitten. It was more than MS throwing money at SE. The FF franchise is huge, SE knows that. The big wigs are thinking "how can we make more money?" and I'm sure someone suggested going cross platform like a lot of games do nowadays. I'm sure the seed was there before MS even entered the picture suggesting it to them. Companies bottom lines are to make money and going cross platform is going to do that. The pittance they'd have to drop to port it over to the 360 will be worth the effort and SE knows that. Did MS sweeten the pot by offering them a larger piece of the pie? Possibly, but I imagine it didn't take much.

Fyi, its obvious that you are biased Tickmeoff with the way you talk about the 360 and MS. It's hard to have a conversation with someone that can't look at things objectively.

I don't doubt SE didn't have a problem with going cross platform, but is it necessary to delay the US release so it can come out for both at the same time? It can still be cross-platform, but why was it necessary to delay the US's ps3 release to coincide with the 360 one? The way it is now, there's big numbers for both consoles on release. PS3 first means big numbers for PS3 and nothing to start off with for 360. 360 will eventually get the port, but they'll lose some sells to people willing to buy a ps3 to play it sooner. It seems plausible that MS payed SE to delay the US release so it could be released for both platforms at the same time.
