I think a new term needs to be coined for the amount of shit Ubisoft produces. Sure they have gems ever so often, but they seem to produce the highest volume of crap than any developer.

Honestly, I think it's the fact they're trying to market the DS as more then just a hand held video game and more like a really tiny computer.

And as stupid as this is, what exactly is the bad about making it? >_>

What is bad? Anyone thats gone through a smoking addiction knows that this game will have no impact on them not smoking. Then again, I don't believe in a lot of the other money grubbing schemes out there to get someone to stop smoking either. All its for is to line their pockets with more money, if I had been Nintendo I would have told them to develop it for a different system. But obviously Nintendo saw dollar signs too.....or yen signs.....or whatever.

It's nothing more then an interactive book on tape. It might not help, but it's not going to hurt either. Except for those dumb enough to buy it, but something tells me they're already throwing away plenty of cash as is...

honestly, as has been said, it's basically an interactive book. This is not a bad thing; this is a new market Nintendo is trying to create with the DS. They might not care about this product, but between this, the language software, interactive cookbooks, games which play more like interactive novels, it's a very good thing for us overall. The more companies play around and branch out on game hardware, the more unique and interesting software becomes. Even if we aren't big fans of 'Stop Smoking! for DS', it's not our place to draw the line. There are plenty of people who use games to lose weight; not just Wii Fit and My Fitness Coach, but DDR. Why is a program to help you stop smoking any worse than programs aimed at helping you lose weight?

I mean, I'm not what Ubisoft keeps pumping out in what I would surely prosecute as illegal dumping of toxic materials; but edumagaming is good for mainstream gaming too. Less serious gamers bring new types of games; Hotel Dusk, for example. We also probably wouldn't have the Wii Remote if it were just hardcore gamers; and say what you will about it, it can be VERY nice to have, though it may need improvements (and I don't mean WM+)
