My desire for a PS3 is now <10 (E3 2008)

The PS3 has lost Final Fantasy 13 as an exclusive title. Final Fantasy 13 will now be released on the Xbox360 as well. No word on versus, though that will probably remain exclusive.

Still I do need a cheap blu-ray player.

I think my PS3 is finally supposed to arrive today, I'll have to get the PS3 version so my g/f doesn't think she got me a bad birthday gift.

I'm very pissed off about this.

I bought a PS3, my friends getting a 360 for the RPG's that we both love. One of the major games that would let me swap with her for a while is now gone, so I'm going to have to camp out at her place now ¬,¬

Allthough the 360 will probably have disc swapping or something.

Ok from the Press confirence:

360 version is NA/EU only
Japanese version will be released, then work on English and 360 versions will begin, then simultaneous PS3/360 release in NA/EU (though EU might come later due to languages)
Versus is PS3 only still.

and of course 0 release dates given.

So I guess the whole "Square to make worldwide releases the norm" only applies to whatever they feel like and probably will never be the "norm"?

Well considering that 360's are about as popular as herpies in Japan, it's a waste of money to get it out for the same time as the PS3 launch. They will probably squeeze out some money when they have it sorted out from the NA/EU launch and give it to Japan then.

Anyway, platform aside, the new video looks awesome. I need to get me a new HD TV.

I don't know. Personally, I still think the PS3 is an amazing (albeit overpriced) piece of hardware. I'm satisfied with it even though out of my 6 games so far only one is exclusive (MGS4). Sometimes, it's not just about exclusive software, but the fact that there is actually a selection of enjoyable software. Hell, I'm still semi-addicted to GTA4 and that launched on Xbox and PS3.

There will be more exclusive titles in the future... hopefully.

As long as SE doesn't make FF a 360 exclusive I couldn't care less about M$ getting the game. And if they ever do I'll just stop playing FF games, end of the story.

Now, what I really need to do is getting my japanese skillz leveled so I can start importing asap.

I'm really pissed about this.

By going multi-platform, SE now has to make sure the game is roughly the same on both platforms. There goes 42 GB worth of content out the window...
