So my g/f fails terribly at the internet and clearing browser history, and it appears that I'm getting a PS3 for my birthday next weekend, lol.

Aside from MGS4 and GTA4, what's good for PS3-exclusive titles? And I have no fucking clue how I'm going to find time to play all these games with FFXI now.

Oooh shit, I meant to ask: Has anyone played either of the Gundam games(a normal one and Dynasty Warriors Gundam). I'm a huge fan of Gundam but unfortunately the games end up being pretty bad usually, just once I wish they'd let the team who made ZoE work with the Gundam license and see what they came up with.

Nah, i haven't tried either Gundam game. I played one once for the ps2 (i think?) and it was horrible, so i've stayed away from those.

Yeah, one of the PS2 games was actually good, most were bad, one had real potential had it not been ruined by awful controls. That's actually the main thing wrong with the games, they almost invariably have terrible controls regardless of who develops them. If they just let a developer who had a feel for intuitive mech game controls like the ZoE group or whoever makes Armored Core they would likely be much better games.

BACK AWAY FROM THE VIDEO GAME!!

If you must play it, rent it.........DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Obviously I think it blows. It's basically the same as all the old games, run and gun. No online mode and the game is short as I remember. It's also very choppy which I found unacceptable considering the system its on.

Then screw that, lol. I tried it, it was basically an MMO but without the other people. I may be a recluse but that was too anti-social even by my standards, with FFXI I at least retain some contact with people outside of myself despite being a video-game addicted hermit. Add: Also the character models are horrendous in that game, ugly as shit IMO.

And yeah, I think I need to stick to action/adventure or button mashers, since this will basically be what I do when I'm not in the middle of LS events and can log my main character off.

And that really sucks, the images for the new Gundam game actually looked nice but I had a feeling it would be a turd in disguise.

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is a good game too, although way too short (specially after playing GTAIV)

I would get the Orange Box (Half-life 2 series + Portal + Team Fortress 2)

You will get 5 decent games in one. I have only completed Half-Life 2 and almost to the end of Half-Life 2 Episode 1. So far it has a great story and gameplay that doesn't feel repetitive(IMO). If you are looking for more playtime for the dollar I would go with the Orange Box.

Haha, I actually have Orange Box for 360, and have yet to open it. It's been sitting there for about 4 months now. One of my big goals over my vacation next week is to finally play and beat Portal.
