It's such a god damn shame that this will be Kojima's last MGS (He's apparently signed on for a new 360-exclusive series, or so I've heard. Idk about that though, I thought he said he was retiring o. O?)

The only thing we're missing now is that bundle that came out in Japan for PS2 that has MGS 1-3 plus the original 2 Metal Gears for NES (The REAL MGS2, not the fake "Snake's Revenge")

We're getting Metal Gear Solid Essentials which is MGS1, MGS2: Substance and MGS3: Subsistence. The Japanese package was more awesome though, as it included MGS1: Integral, MGS3: Persistence and MGS: Portable Ops.

And no, Kojima is not currently signed on for a 360-exclusive project. He's made nothing of his future projects public as yet...only that he'd like to produce a third ZONE OF THE ENDERS project if the original directors were on board, and that he'd also like to try developing a new PC IP.

On a related note, Ryan Payton confirmed that MGS4 won't feature multiple language tracks, due to size limitations on the 50GB Blu-ray disc. Must be an assload of uncompressed audio in this game. Then again, it is Cutscene Gear Solid.

Gah, but at least Metal Gear and Resident Evil are pretty much the only games I like in english due to the characters being supposed to speak english to begin with and the game being given a movie-like kind of treatment.

Look at David Hayter's performance and you do know he is solid Snake, look at Z.O.E. and you see the freaking awful anime-dubbing crap when Leo or Dingo talk.

50gb isnt enough? wtf?
I have to say, I like a good storyline. But MGS2 was over the top. Actually timed the last two boss fights (multiple Metal Gear Rays, and then Solidus) ~7 or 8 minutes play time, 45+ minutes of cutscenes. Thats a little on the overdone side.
Don't think I ever actually finished MGS3, but as I recall what I did play wasn't near as overloaded with CS's.

P.S. Never played the ZOE games, I take it they're pretty good?

They are fun Caspian, i really enjoyed it. Although they are sorta short. I think that's their only downside. Storywise . . . .it felt like Matrix Reloaded & Revolutions. In that the first one sorta ended on a "What? It's over?" note.

Yea, I think the dubbing is like that though. Ever played the first Onimusha? The character's mouth is still going and there is no audio in alot of the scenes lol.

See, this is just stupid. I don't understand this obsession with uncompressed audio... the whole point of audio compression codecs like MP3, Musepack, Ogg Vorbis, ADX, and all the others was to reproduce CD quality audio for a fraction of the space. 99.9% of the population can't perceive the difference between high bitrate compressed audio and uncompressed, and the majority of those that can don't even have access to multi-thousand dollar high fidelity audio equipment to allow them to discern any difference... what a waste.

Oh well. Going to have to snag the LE version of the game.

Dubbing really killed the first one, but ZOE is the closest you can be to piloting a real mecha, it pwns all the gundams and the such games out there by far.
