To be honest, i didn't mind the music. It was the only really good thing that stood out in the game. I mean i can't play a game with the most annoying voice actors in the world! The main characters voice is just awful. I really wanted to grab that tiny polygon neck of his and choke him to death.

LOL I actually enjoyed it. The story was meh though...same old crap just a different game. But like I said, I'm a huge dragon fan (tattoo's and all) so I think that swayed my judgement just a smidge. lol

I have to admit the Dragons were REALLY cool in this game. Don't get me wrong i can see the quality of the game it just didn't appeal to me. I suppose i'm just used to more "grown up" RPGs. My friend tried to get me to have a tattoo but i went in and saw this guy getting his rips done and he looked like he was in pain so i quickly turned away and went to buy a lolly pop |

Ah, I have a high threshold for pain. I usually read a book or fall asleep during my tattoos. The guy that did a few of mine got a great laugh one day. I was getting a rather large one done all at once and another guy couldn't handle the pain of a small one and had to leave and come back another day to get his finished. But ya, the dragons do rock but that one character...can't remember his name but he irritated the living crap out of me. I love rpg's so either cartoony or realistic are absolutely fine by me. Back in the day we had to wait years for a new rpg....it really was hell. Now they are popping out like baby bunnies!!

Halo 3 more than deserves to be on that list. Not just because of sales, but because of the massive following Bungie has created. Like Blizzard, Bungie is one of the few great NA developers. People praise Assassin's Creed to no end, but I have to disagree. Yes, it's beautiful and (for the most part) historically accurate. It's also repetitive as all hell, which really hurt a lot of the reviews it got. Yes, it's unavoidable in games but AC seems to really lay it on thick. To be honest, I was more impressed with Rainbow 6 Vegas. Shame on you Ubisoft. It's by no means a bad game, I just think it's getting more praise than it deserves. Some people will say the same thing about Halo, but that's all baseless. No one can deny the massive following Halo has generated. Shit, Peter Jackson is still working on a new trilogy of Halo movies (if he and Microsoft can ever work out a deal with one of the big movie studios...) Anyway here's my top 5 for each system. PS3: 1. Heavenly Sword 2. Ratchet and Clank 3. Warhawk 4. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune 5. Motor Storm* * I wanted to put Lair, but it just wasn't well recieved. I thought it was a great game, but it was one of those games that you either love or hate. Most ppl hated it ; ; Wii: 1. Super Mario Galaxy 2. Metroid Prime Corruption 3. Link's Crossbow Training (hey it's pretty popular >.>) 4. Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles 5. Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition (I think that was this year) 360: 1. Halo 3 2. Mass Effect 3. Bioshock 4. Call of Duty 4 5. Guitar Hero 3 PS2 & PSP : ~ same as PaiPai's ^^ (well, cept he missed FF7 Crisis Core )DS 1. Final Fantasy IV (Japan only atm )2. Final Fantasy III 3. Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 (Again, JP onry!) 4. Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings 5. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hour Glass. * * Okay, JP titles are probably unfair... and I do <3 Contra, but even if they haven't made it here they're still out there now. Freaking SE said FF4 would be here before 2008 ![]() PC: Call of Duty 4 Command and Conquer 3 // Supreme Commander Crysis FFXI: Wings of the Goddess WoW: The Burning Crusade |

My Mood: | Re: Games of the Year: 2007 Edition Oh pfft! I've been told I shouldn't be into computers, anime, video games, motorcycles, sportcars, etc either and all I have to say to the naysayers is......A BIT JEALOUS ARE WE??? As far as Halo 3 goes, you can't say that AC is overhyped in one breath and then say that Halo3 isn't. For God's sake its just the same shit in a different package. Oh wait...they tweaked and added a few new things....whoopie!! AC is innovative and yes it does have its downfalls...all games do but to say that Halo 3 deserves more accolades than a totally new game is hogwash. *The above rebuttal is of a personal nature and does not reflect at all on the GameMaster Pai.* ![]() P.S. I did Halo3 beta and its probably under my Christmas tree (better be the damn Legendary Edition too ><) so I'm not a hater by any means.

No specific order: Rock Band (PS3, 360). Karaoke + Guitar Hero + Drummania all wrapped up one one attractive co-op package. Incredible! Super Mario Galaxy (Wii). Best Mario title since Mario 64. Bioshock (PC, 360). Amazing, though a bit short. Call of Duty 4 (PC, PS3, 360). Hyper-realistic shooting at its best, with fantastic online play. Unreal Tournament III (PC, PS3). Just... wow! Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (PS3). Who says platformers are dead? This is by far the slickest platformer I've ever played (even besting the awesome Super Mario Galaxy in terms of execution). Crysis (PC). Love it or hate it, it really raises the bar on what modern tech can do to video gaming. Icemage |

You could make the same argument about all FPS games though. I'm not trying to come off as raving fanboy here, 'cause I'm not (I just enjoy the odd game of Halo here and there) all I'm saying is that Bungie has established a great online FPS experience. Whether it's better or worse than other games is all subject to opinion, but I have to say that there was very little variety in AC.From what I've heard the ending was shit too. |

On AC or Halo 3? I'm on the last memory block on AC and completed Halo 3. Agree with you that they have made a great online FPS but i find that immature and loud people on online FPS can become such a nuisance that it doesn't matter how good a FPS is online i refuse to play it because its spoilt somewhat. |

Hmm for me...kinda some hard choices, although I haven't played as much this year either. PS3 - Haven't played many, but these two stand out in my mind, and on my shelf as opposed to the others I've tried. 1. Assassin's Creed 2. Warhawk X360 - Don't own one, but played Blue Dragon and Halo 3. Didn't care for BD at all...so lol my list is short. 1. Halo 3 Wii - Only played a few on here as well, and just ones that I knew would be awesome. 1. Super Mario Galaxy 2. Metroid Prime 3 PSP - FFT! That's it. 1. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions DS - Pokemon ;x 1. Pokemon PEARL I haven't been as into games lately, and I tend to play stuff that catches my eye, or that I know is going to be great, not much else. I'm trying to get back into games now though, and eyeing a 360 soon.

Oh and by the way, has anyone played uncharted ( i think thats what its called ) for the PS3? And if they have is it a reason to buy the PS3? I really like the look of it, reminds me of a cross between Broken Sword and Just Cause.

I haven't played Uncharted myself yet but I know one thing for sure...I will be!! It's under the tree as we speak because I put it there! lol It's actually for my son but we share so I'll get my grimy mitts on it eventually. I heard its a male Tomb Raider so that rocks for me! lol As for a system buying game, I don't know about that. Though I haven't played it, I don't think I'd run out and buy a PS3 in order to play it. Assassin's Creed or Bioshock I would have bought a system for thats for sure. Crisis Core will be a system seller for me....if I didn't already have 4 PSP's.
