Seeing as Infinity Ward wants to piss the entire world off before Modern Warfare 2 comes out, it can only mean more business for Borderlands, right?

Let's see here:

• They charge PC gamers $10 more than the standard PC game. This even though they already profit more from PC games than console releases
• They never planned for dedicated servers for the PC version, knowing PC gamers would want them. They try to dodge the issue by saying how cool not having dedicated servers is going to be thanks to this fancy matchmaking system it will use.
• They put out a video containing gender slurs, which would only gain the ire of the gay community. Not to mention put it entire community in a negative light. They later pull the video after millions have seen it. Part of it also contained a major league baseball player talking about how "random grenades are for pussies."
• They reveal footage of terrorists gruesomely killing Americans, yeah, let's just forget 9/11 is still a bit of a sore spot here. Even movies tend to handle this sort of thing with a modicum of dignity.
• Then they tell Wii owners that their console isn't good enough for a cinematic experience. This is a little cocky considering "cinematic" isn't a strong point of their games and the system presently has quite a few good cinematic-style games. I guess guys like Capcom and Square-Enix just aren't good at this cinematic thing.

I think that's most of it, I'm sure they say/do something else really fucking stupid in the next week or so. They're really only showing us how arrogant and detached they, Treyarch and Activision are becoming from their customers.

TL/DR version: Just get Borderlands instead.

Oh ya, the day CoD games are a thing of a past and mainstream FPS players move on to better FPS series not made by Infinity Ward, will be an exciting era of gaming, indeed!

Borderlands is actually something refreshing to some degree, though I can understand why some people call it
"Boringlands". It's hard to find fun things to do besides grind and loot. I'd rather wait for Aliens vs. Predator if I buy a
FPS. that is coming in February I think.

I probably won't play anything really platinum until Bayonetta is released.

And I enjoyed La Pucelle.

Ya and Rhapsody is on the DS now. I have a nice big screen tv and a comfortable couch, I really don't intend to buy a PSP or a DS when I have a PS2 and a big screen and intend to spend money on a PS3.

NIS makes good games, but damned if they aren't irritating about re-releaseing a game with fixes and/or some new content on another platform, that I don't want, a few years later.

Also it sucks that Prinny is on the PSP, maybe it will get a remake and show up on the PS3 in a couple of years.

/Thought about picking up GrimGrimoire after La Pucelle.

Borderlands is definitely a good buy, but it gets boring once you've maxed your levels and play-throughs. Drop-in and drop-out multiplayer doesn't mesh well with the spirit of cooperation, especially when it's a mad competitive dash to pick everything up that you possibly can without sharing a damn thing.

Tried to get on the Sega Event with Phantasy Star Zero tonight. I was all signed up for it, too.

Got cockblocked by another party member who decided to keep his firewalls up, so I couldn't join. That lovely Error #86420 that happens on NWFC games. Thankfully it just seemed like a normal team up and raid the dungeon deal, they weren't handing out exclusive rares or anything.

I just synthed an Octo Cannon today and it kicks ass, almost finished off my Toppi mag as well.

Rented L4D 2 today and it's pretty sweet.

It's not a dramatic change over the 1st game, but they mixed it up just enough to be different and still fun. Hopefully Valve will feel they've done a better job of it this time and will put out better DLC than they did for the original.

Recently started Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, and Super Metroid: Redesign (a very well done ROM hack which changes Zebes completely.)

Redesign is interesting and much harder than the real Super Metroid (even basic Geemers, those crawly things, take 3-4 shots to kill) but these guys are seriously dead set on preventing any sort of sequence breaking at all and that's lame.
