So I went against my original plan and decided to soldier on to finish Yunica's story before continuing with the awesome character. I think my game was glitched, because the moment I got the last armor I went from taking 35-40 dmg from regular mobs to taking 5-8, so there was definitely something odd going on. Either way, once Yunica stopped being the weakest glass cannon in history it became too easy to go all the way to the last boss.

Again, the localization completely destroyed Yunica's appeal, and her story is pretty depressing so... yeah moving on. XD

Next stop, clawing my way to the top again. Literally.

The Plasma Shotgun is a little "meh", but holy crap the Mattock... wtf OP gun is OP. If only I'd taken the Widow on the collector ship now ~ . ~

The Mattock is more balanced in ME3. But ME3 also added the Particle Rifle...

And Tali is ironically quite lethal with the Geth Shotgun and it's probably one of the best ones to give her.

same here, at least I got Metro 2033, loving it too, I still have the one game plan, as I have my collection to play off of as well, and a new game here and there that I still buy. Last Story comes out tomorrow, and I have Skyrim installed with Dawnguard and about 40 add-on mods ;p Also need to play Kingdoms of Almire, and all the Dragon Ages -.-

Mal: The Mattock is accurate as a sniper rifle and has zero recoil. Since it's Semi-Auto it's also very ammo efficient, especially when combined with the cloak.

The Mattock is easily the best upgrade weapon unless you're a Vanguard (and depending on your playstyle, it might even be the best upgrade weapon even for Vanguards, so you can pick off stuff that you can't easily or safely Biotic Charge). My issue with the Widow isn't so much with the damage, which does come in handy sometimes (for picking off really annoying enemies like Abominations quickly and easily). The Widow's big problem is the lack of magazine size. I think the default number of shots is 11, which seems like a lot, but isn't, especially in pitched battles.

Ice: Cloaking instantly makes the AI forget about you on 2 and you can spam it. You're pretty much going to be dropping stuff instantly with a sniper rifle or shotgun. Also remember you can take Flashbangs as ANY class and Infiltrator shines with it as you can throw them while cloaked. The Widow Rifle is the WORST choice later on because it pretty much destroys all of the versatility that the Infiltrator has for the sake of one shotting mechs that Tali or Mordin can solo anyway.

What the what? Are you sure you're playing the same game I did?

Cloaking makes enemies forget, sure, but it also resets your shield and health regeneration timer, which means if you're already hurt, cloaking won't help you recover (and getting hurt on Insanity is pretty easy). Your power cooldown doesn't start recovering until you come out of cloak, so there's no way you can toss a Frag Grenade while cloaked.

Dropping any individual enemy is child's play on Infiltrator, but as I said, it's swarms that are the issue.

Flashbangs don't do squat to Husks in ME2, at least on Insanity where they get quite a lot of armor. It only instant-kills them if they have no defenses or if their armor is already so low that the minimal damage from the grenade (and I do mean minimal) is enough to strip the rest of their armor off. If you're going there, though, any area effect stun/knockback move will do the same thing, be it Reave, Dominate, Pull, etc.

And on Insanity you rotate team members to use the best party setup for a given quest. Fighting Geth? Take Tali and Kasumi. Fighting Collectors? Take Jack and Samara. Fighting Mercs? Take Grunt/Zaeed to tank for you then whoever counters the Merc Group's speciality. Suicide Mission? Tali/Kasumi/Legion for vents, Garrus/Jacob for Fireteam, Jack/Samara for Barrier (Miranda always gets someone killed since she is the worst choice), Jack and a squishy of your choice for the final boss while your heavier party members hold the line.

Not sure why you'd want to hamstring your party in the final boss in ME2 by bringing squishies who will be KO'd in two hits from Harbinger or a handful of shots from any of the other Collectors, and not sure why this is in any way a recommendation for Infiltrator over any other class.

Oh I should probably mention that I'm moving on to the sidequests, Overlord & Arrival now. I beat the game on insanity (including shadowbroker, didn't even know that was an achievement lol. RETARDED boss fight I have to say) and it was surprisingly easy using Legion & Thane in my final group. Aside from Harbinger (and Scions) the regular fodder just drop like nothing with Thane's Squad Shredder ammo. Not sure if I could have pulled it off without the Mattock though, good lord that gun is OP.

Only problem is running out of ammo.

Well, I normally prefer to a dry run in each ME game with my renegade vanguard but as I can't stomache a 3rd playthrough of ME2 at the moment I'm going to use my Paragon Soldier.

So, what kind of skill set up is idea for insanity? I'm looking at a few guides and a lot of people say Cryo Ammo is amazing in 3 (when it was complete shit in 2). Also, I'm looking through the DLC list (currently downloading the extended cut, yeesh 1.85 GB!) and I can't find the "Atlas" DLC or w/e it's called that gets you Javik...

Is it a different name on 360, or am I just blind?
