In a recent interview with Yoshinori Kitase, he was asked about upcoming FF titles. Kitase-san stated that there will most likely not be another sequel for FFX, and that FFXII is rapidly reaching completion. He also said that there are currently no plans for FFXIII. Maybe Square is taking a break from the FF series in order to focus on other titles? It would seem so, since there have been so many FF games in the last 2 years.
