skeith was ridiculous! Constantly casting stats (I mean yea, it was easy if you constantly use heal and stat relievers every split second) the guy was a pain.
(PSO was because of poor leveling)
But to say naturally hard...that's tough.

Omega Weapon in FFVIII!

http://www.square-central.com/ff8/omega.shtml

And yes, I beat it years ago when FFVIII was still fairly new. I didn't know anyone else at the time who had beat Omega Weapon. I think it took me 3 full days of trying him over and over again before I beat him.

What ever that thing was that came out of Pandora's box in Phantasy Star II (last boss)

Also tanked the hell out of Parathor in EQOA at level 47 with shite gear and one cleric...but that had as much to do with a good party as anything I did save for a properly timed LH

1) Wiegraf/Velius Thief SCC - FFT
2) Shinryu NSG game - FFX
3) Omega Weapon - FFV

I don't mean to sound conceited but although most bosses everyone has mentioned, and I've played, weren't terribly easy I didn't find any too hard. Omega Weapon - FF8 would be number 4 or tied with number 3 (or number 200 if you use holy wars )

Also honourable mention goes to the Museum Level in Shining Force CD. One of the only RPG challenges that i could not do...mind you that was about ten years ago and I didn't have nearly as much grid based combat experience as I do now.

FFVII Seph and his mother were easy when you just let Vincents Limit take over. Or you can just let them hit you and your limit bar will automatically go full and just keep using them. Regen is your friend in those fights.

FFVIII Nobody is hard in that game if you know the junction system and also if you play the card game. Eden plays a major part as well.

It's hard for me to choose since once I beat the bosses I look back and think it wasn't that hard. But then who doesn't :p
1. Asura- Vagrant Story PS
2. Guildenstern- Vagrant Story PS
3. Evander Holyfield- Evander "Real Deal" Holyfield Boxing Genesis

Asura, damn. No matter how much you prepare yourself you will never do a large amount of damage to her unless you use Phantom Pain but even with that it will take forever!
Guildenstern... Bloody Sin.... Plus another swarm of spells he can cast to get on your nerves.
Evander is just impossible. Level up your own boxer and still you'll have no chance because of the realism in the game when you get older you get weaker and no longer can get stronger. Only boss I've never beaten.

Evander "Real Deal" Boxing! I played that game soooo much way back when. If you fight the highest rank guy possible every time, you won't be too old when you get to Hollyfield. I beat him, and most other opponents, by just punching high-low-high-low-high-low with my left hand over and over again...surprised how little they fought back to this. The hard part is keeping that rank for an appreciable amout of time because, as you said, you get weaker as you get older...

Against Asura, I practiced my timing with my weapons skills and was able to fairly consistantly pull off insanely long combos. There was one ability that seemed kinda glitchy and the damge would constantly go up with each hit. I'm not saying she was easy by any stretch of the imagination though.

Also, I don't know if its been mentioned yet, but Ozma was pretty tough in ff9 my first time through. I fought him like 20 times and eventually I got lucky with Phoenix, not many Meteors and more than normal Doomsdays.

Ozma sucks, unless of course you're lvl 99 in which case entering the battle with everyone in trace after about three rounds of trance moves he's done for

You beat Holyfield? Darn. I bow down to you

I still try haha. I never fought Ozma, guess I should give him a try. My guys levels aren't that high.

Thanks, he wasn't easy though, just took a lot of familiarity with the game, and a certain amount of cheese

Thinking back to that game and Shining Force CD, I'm reminded of some other hard games from my childhood. One that particularly stands out is Contra III on snes. Anyone who's played that game on hard knows exactly what I mean. I simply could not beat the last boss on hard, and believe me I tried...oh wait...this is about bosses we HAVE beat...well, the boss of the 4th (or was it the 3rd?) level was probably the hardest for me, the stupid giant skeleton robot dealy that shot homing laser beams out of his eyes, breathed fire and filled the room with bombs...boo-urns.

hmmm hardest boss i beat.... well i beat emerald and ruby and they were kind of cake because i didnt try until i was lvl 99 and fully loaded...

Another one that I can think of is Mr. Dream (or mike tyson) in the original punch out. I have done it maybe twice in my life though I don't try too much anymore...

In street fighter 3 3rd strike, gill is a very hard boss to beat... especially when you are a shoto noob that can only do jump in combos.
