And I'm curious how to approach this. I don't fancy my chances at stealing the scroll, so I have a couple of questions. 1) Should I cap my marksmanship in advance and bring sleep bolts? 2) Can I use flee and Hide to drop hate once he does Perfect dodge? IIRC Maat doesn't Regen? |

Sleep bolts might recover your HP too slow perhaps, assuming by that time he will start asuran fisting. If you really have to, bring a reraise scroll at least and attempt a steal, then fight it normally. Should you die, get up and steal once again as a last resort attempt. Start off with a Sneak Attak-Dancing Edge I suppose. And I'm not sure if Maat regens or not, it's been a while since I fought him. If it does Perfect Dodge, I don't remember where you fight him but I'm confident that you can probably flee out of range and by the time he catches up Perfect Dodge will wear off on him. Probably enough time to use a Blink Band too, maybe.

How to avoid Asuran Fists: Run in a (backwards) circle while in first person mode, without lock-on. Quote:

I don't think he's immune to sleep, seeing as the RDM version is sleepable. So you should be able to sleep, run through him, and SA like any other DC/EM mob.
