At 30+ ~ mid level, does Sushi + Acid Bolts as valid as attack food? Seems both tactic sounds good to me.

A lot of people rip on the Heart Snatcher, and I honestly don't get why. I finally unlocked mine, and I love it. Evisceration DMG has shot way up. On average, DE will still out damage it (which pisses me off) but if you're lucky enough to get Rogue's Roll that dagger will rock. It's a nice free alternative to Blau Doch or some of the other top daggers. I swear the bare minimum for any "good" dagger that isn't EX is 400k @_@; And I second what Armando Said. Squid +1 is awesome (I honestly found I did more dmg with Sushi because of the SATA modifiers than I did with meat, at least on WS. But maybe that was because daggers suck total f'ing ass until 68) |

I don't know what level your dnc and thf currently are but I found jack-o-laterns at lower levels to help me in soloing alot more than sushi. /shrug

My Mood: | Re: Starting my life of crime... I beg to differ. My SATA + WS shot up a good 100+ points of damage in some cases. It might not make as big a difference with WS, but for SA and TA I find every point of DEX and AGI matters. And the DPS isn't "horrible" on Heart Snatcher (it's not as good as the other end game daggers, but then it's not gonna break the bank either; Blau Doch is working it's way up to 3 mil now on Seraph...)

Regarding Jack-o's, I don't like them one bit. You get a piss-poor amount of Evasion and Accuracy. Probably better off eating meat and killing the mob much faster.

nice off hand for mid levels (I think it is 50) . Mercicual Dagger (or kris) occaisionally attacks 2 - 3 times. It is only 2.5 DPS but 10-15% TP (15-20 with main hand) gives you a weaponskill every 15-20 seconds or so. So it kind of makes up for the lesser damage. With haste and some haste gear it is pretty sick. I know my mithra THF loved it.

nah its only like 2-3 mil (or quested). It's a great dagger for off hand all the way up if you can get it.

Mercurial kris can be very good in the offhand as a TP tool, provided you've got the merits and gear to back it up (along with 5/5 SA and TA merits since you'll be TP'ing fast enough to make them worth while). I remember partying in the mire once with a 75 THF who was DW Blau + Mercurial and just destroying the imps and flies. As far as DPS is concerned though it's pure shit in face of weapons like Sirocco Kukri and X's Knife. |

heartsnatcher blows toss that mer kris is possibly cool with /drk; not in xp pts (the dps is like a federation kukri) thf is EXTREMELY inaccurate compared to other jobs; please dont under-rate it for haste like so many thf do i wont even try to argue about haste (haste>all for sure) but there are SO many thfs wearing useless combos of like +12 haste and +24 acc you wont swing fast and you'll need sushi to hit meat is possible at all levels if you want to wear a shitton of acc or maybe have dagger merits and does wonders for this job whenever i see thfs complaining about damage 99% of the time its simply lack of attack edit: sub war 1-74 as often as possible

Most of what you just said is BS; 1) Heart Snatcher is not a bad dagger, it's just not as good as the others. 2) Why the hell would a THF bother with /DRK? 3) How is THF inaccurate with A- Dagger, highest DEX and C Marksmanship? 4) You'll swing pretty damned fast with the right gear and /NIN 5) /NIN beats out /WAR the majority of the time. |

Most of what you just said is BS; 1) Heart Snatcher is not a bad dagger, it's just not as good as the others. exactly the time you spent unlocking HS = you can farm 50 magnet knives 2) Why the hell would a THF bother with /DRK? its an excellent subjob for SC damage and the stun actually works quite a bit souleater with a dagger will hit decently hard too; good for zergs like DL & KV when fighting sky gods for example activate SATAACLRSE&Hide >engage>WS you should have NP breaking 1k on every single one except genb00b and yes you can actually stun them the stun fails @ mobs like kirin/behemoth due to their nature to resist lightning 3) How is THF inaccurate with A- Dagger, highest DEX and C Marksmanship? lets look at everyone else WAR = Aggressor, 2h dex bonus MNK = A+ weapon, Focus DRK = 2-handed DEX, Absorb-ACC, Absorb--DEX, Diabolic Eye, +Scythe earring RNG = Accuracy Bonus IV SAM = A+ weapon, 2-handed DEX (w/Haidate), Hasso, +GKT earring DRG = A+ weapon, Accuracy Bonus II, 2-handed DEX not to mention love torque is the shittiest to obtain 4) You'll swing pretty damned fast with the right gear and /NIN yeah you will when you have obtained all that gear theres a huge difference between an AH thf and a homam decked out thf 5) /NIN beats out /WAR the majority of the time. have you ever subbed war? /nin is eventually better without a doubt but not on the way up
