| Junior Member | Which area to concentrate on?
Ive read past posts and many people give many opinions on what to use for thfs stat wise, i.e gear and whatnot. I pump DEX and AGI on my thf and eat squid sushi to up that, also gives nice acc too. Im wondering if im approaching thf the "wrong" way. im a THF40/NIN20 and here is my setup- weap- AF1 dagger/ Winderstian knife ranged-Thugs zamberk/ blood/acid/sleep bolts head- emp pin neck- spike necklace ear- Drone earring x2 body- Winderstian doublet hands- Hume RSE gloves rings- Dex +3 rings x2 back- nomads mantle waist- that one belt that gives +1 to a lot of stats, cant think of it, mercenaries? ![]() legs- noct legs feet- leaping boots i think(offhand) my dex is +25 and agi+21 later items like chiv chain, scorp harness, amnent +1 from my RDM/NIN soloing Am i taking the "correct" approach with thf? any reccommendations later on to make? thank you |

Most important thing. Eatting sushi gives you pretty good accuracy as it is, add some atk/str gear to boost more dmg during your TP gain. In otherwords, have 2 sets of gear - one for WS and one for TP gain. I believe this is the way alot of people play THF. However, I still think you have pretty decent gear ^ ^

good gear but you're wasting potential if you're not equip swapping. (Do I sound like a hard ass when I say that? I think every job should equip swap. Thf is just one of the jobs that gets alot more out of it) Acc and DEX/AGI is great and all, but +attack is very very important. In my experience, for SATA and for normal melee. I'm not going to get into an argument about subjob, but I suggest every thf/nin play around with thf/war and be open-minded about it. Don't expect your numbers to do anything, just watch the log and the swing delay change and draw your own conclusions.

Stop subbing NIN for exp PTs. Focus on ACC so you can use ATT food to up your damage. You have to use NIN depending on the situation you are leveling in, but try to sub WAR as much as you can for better damage output. |
