ok all my fellow pickpokets and treasure hunters. we have a situation we need to address. I've been hearing nothing but talk about how Dark Knights replace us in pt at post 60. This is a problem that needs a solution. So i am calling to arms all thieves in order to figure out a way we can compete with a Dark Knights SATA damage... we can't let them take our bread and butter ability and claim it for themselves! now is the hour , take back your job and fight back! ::dramatic pause::


i have heard that subbing warrior can aid in fixing this. so lets lay down the pros and cons of our subjobs. Let's figure this out guys, i know the answer is out there.

There is really nothing THF can do. DRK/THF don't sub THF to put THF out of a job on purpose >_>" Or at least I hope they aren't doing it on purpose.

Anways DRK sub THF because at higher lvls because they deal crazy damage and they need to place all that hate onto the tank. So basically THF is gonna be reduced to a Subjob anyway you look at it. T_T

Persoanly I still think DRK/THFs have too much hype. At level 60 DRK/THF do not replace us. SA + TA + Gully can do 1000 damage when stacked with every buff a DRK can get, but guess what, so can SA + TA + DE. It dosen't happen often for either one, but on average DE > Gull.

At 66 I talk to some higher level DRK friends and they say THF is no where near as bad off as people claim. My DRK friend says his SA + TA + Spining Slash does about 700-1000 depending on buffs, and from what i hear SA + TA + Sharkbite can deal the same. Also, there are times where you acuttaly fight flies (Weak vs Dagger) So sharkbite should be dealing near 1000+

DRKs even decked out still have horrid acc problems, and thieves still have acc problems, aren't near as bad as DRK. Sadly though most peopel assume DRKs are way better, and it makes it way worse off for us anyway

hehe around 68 was making 6k an hour off of darters (flies) in the boyhada tree ;o not that darks are better, just that they can do both light and dark renkei. Thf can only do light ;/ but when it comes down to it, thf pairs a whole lot better with rng then it does with any other /thf job. Mostly because rngs do so much dmg that half assed /thf SATA doesnt put enough hate on the tank to keep aggro.

Yeah.. DRKs have it horrible with SATA. Partied with a Mithra DRK/THF and a Taru THF and both were Lv 60.. the DRk couldn't put hate onto the PLD after the initial voke by the MNK, and the Taru did it regularly...
