THF post 60 with SAM sub..

I don't know if this had been answered before but wouldn't this solves thief's problem significantly post level 60?

I just got to level 60 thief myself and I'm pretty sad that my main job can now be performed basically by anyone else.

Dagger suffers from the TP growth and SAM's TP Store and Meditate surely will help alot. Sure I'll lose Berserk with WAR sub or Dual-Wield with NIN sub, but dont you think with SAM subbed, I can perform more WS and still give place hate to tank at the same time?

This is something a XXX/THF cannot do (unless he is a SAM/THF post 60).

What do you guys think?

i was thinking about that too^^, but i heard a lot of ppl say that thf/nin can get 100% tp in a min also(i dont really see the need for nin sub ><, of curse u atk faster but ur still weak imo), maybe samurai will make u stronger but pretty sure ur dex will lower compared to nin or mnk sub
i subed with both nin and mnk so far...i think mnk is better just cuz of boost...i stack boost to make my atk over 300 and then SA/TA^^, also i like soloing and barely gettin hit ><
samurai is good cuz u can get maybe over 100 tp with each SA/TA like 150-200% maybe makin it stronger...other then mediate and store TP there is nuthin samurai does for a thf T_T

If it's Viper WS your talking about using, over 100%TP wouldn't make it stronger (said by others to).

It's funny cause I've had this idea too and bouncing it around but from what has been posted before, as a thf/nin in pimp gear, most thieves said that they can get 100% TP in the one minute timer.

From my personal experience, if there is a bard to do madrigal in the group, I can get 100% TP about 90% of the time within 1 minute. Often I get so much TP, when I do a TP check with the group to do a renki, the tank only has 80% TP while I had 105% already. This is with a mithran scimitar and a windurstian knife at lv 30 on my 30thf/15nin.

Without a bard, I often fall behind and only have about 80% TP when the tank is ready to go from getting hit. And this is often past the 1 minute mark. I'm not sure how my TP will work with 2 daggers but I'll experiment soon enough. I have good gear that I can wear at this lv short of emperor's hairpin and lizzy boots so I might be missing a bit more than uber mithran thieves.

I know that at even higher levels, things will get marketably harder to hit so I am seriously thinking of thf/sam at lv 60 to make sure i can fui off of someome for sheer damage since most pld seem to be able to hold the hate through almost anything. And my role of hate controller can be performed by that drk/thf ppl seem to be talking about.

One thing that I didn't like about thf/nin is the delay between hits. I know that I swing faster overall but the point is to hit the mob with sa+ta both activated and having dual wield changes me into basically using a weapon with 400 delay wich in a lot of cases is a LONG time.

I activate all that stuff and sit there for what seems like an eternity before taking that super attack. This has caused me to miss a few times cause the mob moved during that 400 ms or the subtank is taking way too much damage cause of double or triple crit hits on him and the main tank is forced to provoke. Just something to think about.

well i have my gear is this...emp. hairpin, leapin lizzy, Hume RSE glove, Mrc Doublet, Mrc belt(i think...the one with like +1 to everything), spike, 2 balance, and 2 Mrc. Knife....all together i think i had +18 dex...and its still hard for me to get 100 every min...i get it sometimes cuz i get some extra from the previous battle and stuff, but i cant get 100 everytime...thats y i went monk sub^^ and i love it...i think with the rite gear....thf/sam can be killer at 60

I've done this with my THF from lv60 to lv65 using only SAM sub. The good thing is that you get 60TP from meditate when you use it. So what I did is gain 100+TP then do S+A+Dancing Edge but then S+A takes 1 mins to recharge so by the time your S+A recharge, your renkei partner already got his TP back and you would use meditate. It would be great if they reduce the S+A to 30seconds recharge time lol. With SAM sub, damage is lower tho.
