Trick Attack Usage Question

Now that I finally have 30 and Trick Attack, I attempted to use it in the party I was in, but for the life of me couldn't seem to get it to work properly. I've read the threads on fuidama and all so I understand the positioning and all in theory.

Is standing behind the tank (or whoever the hate is to be transfered to) all you need to do to get Trick to go off properly? Or is there some step in there I'm missing?

Player A has aggro, player B is directly behind the enemy. You are directly behind player B. When you use Trick attack with an attack, all the hate goes to player B.

Oki. So you can only trick off of someone who doesn't have the focus of the monster yet. That's the problem I was having. Silly me. XD
