Increased damage some what also but thats not important | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 12-29-2003, 03:36 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Aug 2003 Posts: 107 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 297 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 297 Donate | Thief nin is better because its great in evasion, dual wielding dex weapons which is needed. If they are regular daggers they are worthless and you are wasting your time with that sub job. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 12-29-2003, 05:39 PM | #7 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 1 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 9 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 9 Donate | The reason this is such a good combination (better than having Ninja as a primary class) is because at level 50 theives get triple attack. Combine this with dual wield to get up to 6 hits a turn. You do the math and you know that can equal alot of pain fast.:p | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 12-31-2003, 12:17 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Jul 2003 Posts: 37 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 164 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 164 Donate | "If you have Ninja sub dont buy regular daggers, get status daggers (ex. +3 dex so forth). Ya, what that guy said. If you're going to use dual wield you should go with stat increasing or elemental daggers. Ninja also provides the best balance in dex (for Sneak) and agi (for Trick) increases as the levels progress. I'm doing THF/WAR right now, but am looking into THF/NIN later on when some more elemental daggers become available. Do you really believe in anything besides the weight of your guns? | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-03-2004, 02:23 PM | #9 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 217 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 753 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 753 Donate | haha yeah ^

utsesumi will absorb up to 3 attacks, however it's most interesting property that i've seen so far is the ability to absorb spells also.. when pulling while using utsesumi - you will never be bound again, or have a sizeable chunk of your hp taken off by a powerful spell
i likes it a lot ^^

Sorry leii.
I use a Ryl Squires Dagger for the Acc + and an Acid Knife for Defense Down effect. Blink really is only useful wheb pulling since you cant really tank w/o Provoke. But it is very nice to have so you dont die on the way back to your party | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-08-2004, 05:19 PM | #13 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 217 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 753 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 753 Donate | i just want to raise my parry with them thats all. my parry is like level 20. so i hope to raise my parry fast with them | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-08-2004, 10:46 PM | #14 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 20 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 171 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 171 Donate | i'm a thf nin and i'm 32/13 at the moment...
i'm wielding a royal squire dagger on my main and a beestinger on my sub just for the +1 dex and +1 agi
i tried using short sword for the +2 dex but the delay seemed really long.
since most of the damage comes from sneak attack or a fuidama, it only counts the damage from the main weapon, hence my idea of using the beestinger, i'm not sure if this is a good choice. just wondering any other good weapons to wield?
other alternatives i can think of is the archer's knife or the parry knife. but like the guy above said, its kinda useless if you're not tanking.
i might buy a mithran scimitar for that +3 dex if i could afford that 45k on carbuncle -_-
just spent a buckload of gils from silk sales on a full merc capt set.. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 01-08-2004, 10:48 PM | #15 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Dec 2003 Posts: 20 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 0 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 171 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 171 Donate | just a quick question
do you thiefs bother with your main damage really?
i feel most of the damage dealt by theives come from their sneaks and fuidama anyways... | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
