How many people out there use them how do they do it? do they just use them for pulling, or do they use it like a ranger would? im just curious because thievces are one of the few classes that can use guns. whenever us noobs see a gun we are mighty impressed.

i would like to start using a gun as early as ican. what lvl can i start? thanks

The earliest you can equip a gun is at level 15. Check the local AH for a Bandit's Gun to see how much it's gonna run you. Keep in mind that as a thief, you're never going to do any real respectable amount of damage with a gun. So basically you'll just use the gun for pulling monsters and otherwise showing off :D

Well, I was thinking, in big battles against Incredibly Tough monsters, my thief hits for like 3 damage if hes lucky. I do all my damage with sneak attack, which i start the fight with. (obviously)

So, couldnt I use sneak attack, pull out from the fight, pick away with a few gun shots while the sneak attack recharges and then re-enter the fight with another sneak attack. Rinse and repeat?

I dont see how this couldnt work, as id probably pull some decent damage with the gun at least compared to the 2 or 3 i do up close.

For a thf, you will be doing alot more damage while using a dagger, it may just be 2 or 3, but its alot more consitent.

A gun may seem quick, but it still has a delay. Compared to your melee, it wont be as effective.

Plus, bullets cost money

I guess so, but its so damned degrading to be sitting there doing like 2 damage. The worst is hitting for 0. I realize bullets are expensive, but they cant be THAT hard to craft can they? I think I just wanna be cool and have a gun...the only problem is it would be hard to level up my shooting skill.

guns would also be good for those mobs that have area of effect spells. let the warriors take the heat while you shoot the mob. the only thin im worried aou =t is the thiefs low grade with the gun. i wonder how often he would miss?
