i heard of the rumor too. and have tried opening like 10 coffers in a row, all gils, so even if it does have raise2, the drop rate is low

Well if we are talking about RSE chests then pop time is roughly 5 mins...only when it is RSE time for that dungeon...

Otherwise...more likely it is about half hour intervals?

Isnt there a chest in the horoto ruins i believe? There are just a bunch of tinkerers and stuff. Maybe a dragons i forgets

My JP friend opened 16 Quicksands coffers and got nothing but items and gil (except 16th was Mimic) so unless its uber uber rare I doubt this. I also had a brief chat with Farplaner/Tongyang about it a few moths back and he thinks the same.

ok i got two questions 1 is what is rse and other equipment names like that and the other is what is a coffer? and are mimic's hard to fight?

So once the game is released do you think it will be common to have multiple thieves all hanging around in an area camping chests? Would be stupid to have a bunch of thieves all racing to get the chests... would be like EQ's rare spawns, everyone races to get it first. Yucky

I have a great global map of all the zones with very accurate NM info... bad sadly the Chest info is definetly inaccurate, based on my experience in a few dungeons.
