(Pending you use 3 summoners)

I never had any hate issues during Astral burn, and I always stay right besides the mobs and even use Hi-Ethers right next to them in between flows.
make sure the pullers have built so much hate on the mob you will use the call for help feature on, such as the gigas stonecarrier (has the highest HP of all the mobs in the zone besides jammer leech). before you start the sync, make sure all the summoners have that CFH mob lock on.

I'm in a static myself and usually we don't have issues, but once a while the pulling party will totally lag out and get killed and we are forced to raise them. Its really risky to raise the pulling party because Raise is an hate boost at the level similar to Blind. I got like 30 mobs on me after I raised a pulling party member twice in a pull, and I logged out and back in before the sync. After the sync, as soon as I started casting Shiva, one of the Combats killed me and another party member.

Moral of the story: I suggest all pullers have some form of reraise active.

Re: Astral Burn

Quick question: whats the best and most reliable way of building hate on the CFH mob without draining its HP like mad? Sorry if its a stupid question, im pretty new to astral burns lol

You said "Good spells to cast on that mob include but not limited to Sleep, Blind, Gravity, and Bind. ", but do they have to constantly cast it?

Re: Astral Burn

cast them as they wear off. You really do not want to give the Giga any TP if at all possible. None of those spells give the Giga TP, and Sleep prevents them from gaining TP.

Re: Astral Burn

I've been told by many that this will get you a suspension from SE. I don't particularly know why. I was asked to be a level sync 1 time in Buburimu Pennisula, having no idea what was about to happen. I was 14, I showed up, a RDM trained the whole zone, the SMNs burned, then I was level 19. It took 5 minutes. While trying to figure out exactly how they did this from others, I was told over and over again that it was against the rules and could get you a suspension. I don't know if its true or not. BTW, its best to have access to the COR 2-hr for this as well.

If I recall, the SMN was able to do the Garuda AOE move 3 times during his 2hr, which wiped the whole train. I believe he targets the original mob the puller used to pull the train. We don't get xp for that single mob, but should on the rest. I don't know the SMN didn't get aggro from the train though?

Re: Astral Burn

It seems like it should be something worthy of a suspension, but I've read elsewhere on this board a couple of times that SE actually doesn't give suspensions for astral burns. I suppose if you're stealing too many mobs from people who are exping, they might be able to call a GM on you for that. Besides, it's a LOT of work to keep a whole zone trained, especially a wide zone like Buburimu, and mobs will "drip" off if you pull your train too fast.

But if people are de-leveling by dying and HP-ing to the OP to die again to be a sync mule, I think that really should be given a suspension, because it quickly throws the region to the beastmen, which can have bad effects depending on what the regional vendor supplies. Someone did this for a few weeks in Buburimu on Fairy, and Yagudo Drinks shot up from 2K to 5K for the two weeks it was under beastmen control. I was surprised it didn't go higher.

Re: Astral Burn

It's fucking stupid as hell now, for reasons I've already stated. More people have been griefing that one camp than anything else in the past six months and they're going to get tired of it. (GMs I mean) As it is, my linkshell, which was the only group on the server doing it for at least a month (and we attempted to keep it that way, more below) won't even go down there anymore because of the hassle of all the fucktards ruining pulls.

Also, should have kept it quiet. The reason the problems are springing up is because people opened their big damn mouths, at least on Hades. There were no problems when it was just our linkshell, but a few loudmouths had to tell their buddies how to do it, who told their buddies, who told their buddies, and soon the whole fucking server was in a god damn pissy bitch fight over one zone.

If I were a GM I'd be rather sick of hearing about it, honestly. I hope they find a way to nerf it, now that people made it worse than camping fucking HNMs.

Re: Astral Burn

Sooner or later, the word had to get out ... all it really took was ONE person to detail the method on a board somewhere. It didn't even have to be anybody on Hades, likely a fair number of people would read about it wherever it went up.

Re: Astral Burn

Which is why it ultimately failed, and not saying people shouldn't have seen it coming, but it's such a hassle now to even get a group without people getting all snarky and fucking everyone else over. It's not even good anymore because of all the griefing, honestly I wouldn't cry if they nerfed it at this point, stop all the whiny bullshit in K. Tunnel.

No, no it doesn't. My burn group and I all called different gm's when we started at differnt times, all says its fine to do long as we don't cause trouble for others. Also anyone diagaing trained mobs for burns can get gm'd on.

Re: Astral Burn

its why my astral burning crew avoid kor. tunnel during the busiest periods now unless we have a friend or two that have sync jobs for that place. Its not uncommon to see 3 parties there trying to wait their turn. we go to the jungles, yes they take the higher level syncs, but we never have competition

right now we get so many /tells for potential syncs that we don't actively do a /sea all "sync range" at all.
