for those that dont know
Does anyone know any good low level -hp gear that I could use to proc it in exp pts?
I know of the aquarian gear but that's high level, I was wondering if it was possible if there was a set of hp and mp that I could use to increase hp then remove and add on again to proc it(read: make it viable for pt use) at the lowest level possible.
Thanks ahead of time

/SCH sub should be able to help you achieve the lowered hp amount to activate the latent.
This is only possible post level 70. When Sublimation becomes available at SCH 35. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-31-2008, 12:04 PM | #3 (permalink) | | Pointy Stick Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: Apr 2004 Location: Portland, OR Posts: 2,033 Style: Dark - Version 5 My Mood: Thanks: 465 Thanked 367x in 228 Posts Gil: 20,530 Bank: 84,129 Total Gil: 104,659 Donate | Re: Conjurer's Ring The Silken/Magi set @ 53 has a decent amount of HP+ tied to it. I don't think it would be too useful as a set though as there are no other bonuses other then MP.
2 HP~>MP rings could be useful to swap out. It'd be expensive as hell, but using an Ether/Serket combo would add 80 hp to the max when you swapped them out and would make it easier to go yellow.

He found the best way to get it going was to use a poison potion. (Alchemist during the high inflation period, these were still cheap to make then). Provided he subbed RDM instead of WHM, (or Scholar now), he'd stay low enough to keep the effect on. Granted, if you're solo that's one less hit you can absorb, but it might be worth it. He certainly didn't have any problems soloing to 75 with it. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-31-2008, 01:05 PM | #5 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2007 Posts: 417 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 13 Thanked 53x in 37 Posts Gil: 490 Bank: 64,250 Total Gil: 64,740 Donate | Re: Conjurer's Ring Doesn't the HP to MP effect leave the trigger point for that gear alone? If so, just see what you can get of that sort of gear and KEEP it on ... more MP and a low-HP latent without the yellow HP to cause undead aggro. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-31-2008, 01:17 PM | #6 (permalink) | | Wild Rover! It's at or less than 75% of your current max hp, which is where yellow triggers. Obviously, this means there are areas where you can't use this item. It's not bad for everywhere else, however. Like soloing in Sky, Ifrit's Cauldron, or Uleguerand Range snolls. Anywhere you could solo things without getting too close to any undead. My friend was even able to make use of it in Garlaige Citadel on the 50-cap quest bombs, since the soloing track was far enough from everything aggro to low hp to work. Still needed sneak for the bats, but it worked. I kind of wish I had one at the time he was doing this, would've made my efforts a bit easier. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-31-2008, 01:31 PM | #7 (permalink) | | Emotions in Ice Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 398 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 15 Thanked 8x in 8 Posts Gil: 5,285 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 5,285 Donate | Re: Conjurer's Ring little nitpick, but yellow hp min=/= latent hp
it can be slightly above or yellow
at higher levels it is more likely to be white hp I know this since I use fencers(same latent as conjurer's) and I have 75%hp and can proc it.
of course that's fairly trivial since as kit said there are some areas you don't want to risk going into yellow from a random aoe such as undead based areas. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 03-31-2008, 03:53 PM | #8 (permalink) | | Brain of Knowledge Join Date: May 2006 Location: Colorado Posts: 1,585 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 181 Thanked 112x in 71 Posts Gil: 20,029 Bank: 74,427 Total Gil: 94,456 Donate | Re: Conjurer's Ring I think what she was saying, is "Converts XX HP to MP", i.e. Astrals, Serket or Zenith, allows you to hit the 75% Max HP trigger, while staying in the white due to being above the 75% Total HP trigger. | Originally Posted by Ellipses | | Really, it's just like pretty much every question about this game that begins with "Why."
