SMN (and maybe BST and PUP?) get screwed in Campaign Limit Points...
I have Garuda tank several mobs as well as do Predator Claws doing as much as 2300 yet I always seem to get very low limit points compared to my party members. Do pet actions not contribute to your results?

They do, just not as nearly much. Best thing for points do to is really not bother with anyone other than Carby or Fenrir. Pop assault macro and run up and start bashing the target with your staff. Do occasional cheap BPs (Poison nails, Crescent Fang, Moonlit Charge) and use Retribution (or other WS if you don't have it) or Spirit taker if your MP is low/using Fenrir. Warning though, Spirit taker won't give back much more than 90 a pop. For a 10-15 min Campaign, I've varied between 900-1200. My highest was 1940, but it was a 30+ min offensive against 3 waves of Quadav and there were only 6 people for most of it.

Emmm, peachy

Re: SMN (and maybe BST and PUP?) get screwed in Campaign Limit Points...
I think you have to have participated in the curing of allies or hurting of enemies in the sense that you contributed more than curing one particular person or hurting one mob.

I learned from besieged that its typically good to engage more than one target or cure more than one person at a time. Even if I'm not done with one mob, I'll move on to another. I doesn't seem that the pet is calculated the same as the master, so you actually have to get in there with casting and damaging the enemy, as well as curing your allies.

Best I've gotten with BST is about 700ish EXP from a campaign battle. I go /WHM to most of these since accuracy isn't a major issue in these battles, affording me ample opportunies to cure others while I deal damage. I make it a point to change targets frequently, even if I'm not on the mob when it dies, it seems to work out fine.

No one's going to tell a SMN not to melee in Campaign, go nuts, melee, Cure many people and blast stuff with your avatars. Skillchain with Carby, go nuts. You really don't have to restrain yourself so much like you do in PTs.

I've seen a BLU get 2200+ from Jugner >. > (we had 4 waves though)

My advice? Try your darnest to get a party for the battle so you can rack up extra points from buffing people.

<----- Can I have it?

That does make sense. I get a lot more xp on bard than I do on BST. OF course, on Bard I Horde everything I can, Elegy and Finale as soon as their up. Buff as much as possible. So I am effecting a lot of people and mobs.

They do need to reconfigure the points so that masters get credit for pet actions.

I don't know how well this would work on SMN, but I've gotten pretty decent points for kiting on RDM. Whether the game takes avatar kiting into account, I'm not sure. (Only mobs you really need to kite is the Demon SMN and her 15 elementals since they are immune to sleep. Both light and dark based)
