Ramuh is tricky, in the fact that, when he uses Thunderspark, it paralyzes you. You have a few options really. Either use Paralyna to restore yourself or use an item. Either way, you suffer the consequence of being paralyzed and if you use an item you will lose the item. Sometimes, if feels to me that you get better luck at getting a restore item off vs a restore spell, but that's just me. Otherwise, really, there's nothing else to the battle that's unlike the others. Make sure you go on Earth's Day when Ramuh is weakest, take high Def/Lots of HP and Def food and hopefully have a WHM Buff you ahead of time w/Proc 2 (you can get 3-4 but they will wear off.) The rest is just luck.
I didn't have a single problem w/Leviathan, so I really can't give you any tips there. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-05-2007, 02:40 PM | #4 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: look at my google thing Posts: 272 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 7 Thanked 3x in 2 Posts Gil: 6,132 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 6,132 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev ooo yea but th3 thing is all my luck sucks i always get paralyzed and i try but it dont work i succks i still get on here....even though it might not happen often i do! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-26-2007, 05:46 AM | #5 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: look at my google thing Posts: 272 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 7 Thanked 3x in 2 Posts Gil: 6,132 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 6,132 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev well i did ramuh and i killed him but when i killed him my brotehr came in and ripped the cords outta my router killing the game and when i loged bak on i found myself dead some reason i watched him die and all that but i still die but it pissed me off beyond beleave and now i have to redo my thing soon....gotta make money i still get on here....even though it might not happen often i do! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-26-2007, 08:32 AM | #6 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 93 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 2 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 7,127 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 7,127 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev Have a fairly high lvl SMN buff you for the fights. Titan's earthen ward, Garuda's Blinkga, protect and shell 2, applicable bar<element> spells, and for Ramuh have them throw Barparalyze on you. The two barspells should be casted seconds before you enter so that they will last most of the battle. Barparalyze does not mean you will resist paralyze, but it will help shorten the duration if you are paralyzed, having /ma "Paralyna" <me> macrod helps alot as well, saves alot of time not having to select it from the spell list. Best strategy for me when I did the lvl 20 battles was to put as much distance between myself and the avatar once you have carbuncle engage and searing light. What ever you do, do not cast any spells anywhere near the avatar, it will give you more hate, and added hate in these battles will no doubt mean an unsuccessful BC. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-26-2007, 08:57 AM | #7 (permalink) | | King of the Oompa Loompas Oracle of Knowledge Join Date: Nov 2005 Posts: 3,360 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 10 Thanked 118x in 96 Posts Gil: 27,330 Bank: 50,142 Total Gil: 77,472 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev Originally Posted by Neppy | | Have a fairly high lvl SMN buff you for the fights. You can't buff outside of the arena. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-26-2007, 09:00 AM | #8 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 93 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 2 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 7,127 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 7,127 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev Yes you can for these fights, I did it myself with other ppl | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-26-2007, 04:14 PM | #9 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: look at my google thing Posts: 272 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 7 Thanked 3x in 2 Posts Gil: 6,132 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 6,132 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev im sorry to tell you this but THAT ISNT ANYTHING RELATED TO MY COMMENT i still get on here....even though it might not happen often i do! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-26-2007, 06:21 PM | #10 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 93 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 2 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 7,127 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 7,127 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev Originally Posted by Darkages | | im sorry to tell you this but THAT ISNT ANYTHING RELATED TO MY COMMENT | How in any way, shape, or form were the above posts not in anyway related to your post. If you think my advice for doing the level 20 avatar battles does not relate anything to them, GOOD LUCK!! I guess I have absolutely no clue on the level 20 battles, my summoner is only 75, I have a personal record of 6/10 against the avatars in 20 cap BC (On their strongest days). But hey if my advice is 10,000 miles off the topic of this thread, because it sure looked like you were seeking a lil help to me, then I will keep my mouth shut. {Peace} | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-27-2007, 04:07 AM | #11 (permalink) | | Ares's Cuirass Keeper of Knowledge Join Date: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,990 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 8 Thanked 31x in 25 Posts Gil: 1,489 Bank: 3,166 Total Gil: 4,655 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev I've met tonnes of lv75s who dont know anything about their jobs, dont throw lv75 about like it means something these days. 75 Mnk Sam | 70 Drk | 40 Blm | 37 Nin Rng Thf War

If you're not talking about the level 20 capped fights, you'll need to re-state your question more clearly.
***********
Neppy is 100% correct that you can be buffed by someone else prior to going into the battle area.
Bar-element spells won't last long, but bar-status spells have a longer duration. Protect IV and Shell III will last long enough on a level 20 to get the fight done. They that can give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. - Benjamin Franklin | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-27-2007, 05:38 AM | #13 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: Sep 2005 Location: look at my google thing Posts: 272 Style: Light - Version 6 Thanks: 7 Thanked 3x in 2 Posts Gil: 6,132 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 6,132 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev i mean that wwasnt realated to my post about killing ramuh and then disconnecting and it still goes on about how to kill them even tho i can kill them i have the stragety but i got disconnected when i killed him i still get on here....even though it might not happen often i do! | | ::Quote Selected:: | | 02-27-2007, 01:31 PM | #14 (permalink) | | Junior Member Join Date: May 2006 Posts: 93 Style: Light - Version 6 My Mood: Thanks: 2 Thanked 0x in 0 Posts Gil: 7,127 Bank: 0 Total Gil: 7,127 Donate | Re: Ramuh and lev Well I guess if getting to level 75 means nothing then I guess it is a waste of time to ever exp another job. Also it was not the only reasoning that I stated. I do agree that there are a lot of people who don't know their jobs at 75, but to say it means nothing like that completely takes away any accomplishment to ever reaching 75. There is still way many more people that do know their jobs then people who don't. | | ::Quote Selected:: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode | Posting Rules | You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts HTML code is Off | | | All times are GMT -8.
