Had a run-in w/ Gimya yesterday (if it was anyone else, I probably would not have posted). She was PTing in Cape Teriggan with some JP's and some NA's. What pissed me off more than anything was that they camped right on top of my PT when there was plenty of room; normally I don't participate in server drama, but I guess last night's crap was just too much. There was plenty more said in /tells and then Gimya's LS members showed up to harass us (not going to include that garbage here), but we just left and called it a night.

And was Krukz in Riverslake too? Cause LS looked the same, and could mean he needs put on seller list, not idiot list.

Yes, at least one member left shortly after being informed, and these were the members of the PT after the confrontation. Again, I would like to stress that some of these players may be new to FFXI (i.e. Xbox 360 players), and should probably be given some 'grace' as to their associations. I provided the /say convo for further reference, and would think that that would be sufficient auxilliary material for people to take into consideration.

No, it was not the same LS. Gimya was the only one in that PT from her LS. Her LS members did show up to 'beat my character cartoon up', but they weren't in the PT.

Submitting Amikk as a gilseller suspect.

Saw him/her in the B.Glacier with Joyfullbamboo, Agarok, Dashoubil, and Maogel. It appeared that everyone was auto following Agarok, including Amikk.

They also had a new LS, neon sky blue in color, name FriendsOfVanadiel.

Before I express my opinion of this list, I'd like to introduce myself to this community.

I am Elured, also known as Elrohir. I'm a long time player on Seraph. Many of you may know me. I have been on Seraph since before Zilart was released in Japan and the level cap was 50. I established and am the site admin for Titanictus.com, a premier FF XI fishing forum that split off from Marissa's forum. I authored the first automated self-maintained FF XI guild item tool located on the Titanictus forum web site (before even ffrecipe had theirs). I run the longest running NA Linkshell on Seraph, perhaps even across all servers, which started the day of the NA release and which still is active to this very day: <Valinor> which started out as <Mirkwood> until my first account got suspended for non-payment with a credit card issue and the subsequent billing fubar resulted in my creating my next character Elured. Those of you who know me as Elrohir or Elured know what I'm like and what I've done for Seraph.

I'd like to start off by expressing my disagreement with listing people who PT with gil sellers. Maintaining a list of RMTers is a wonderful idea. Listing people who refuse to disband when confronted with an RMT in their PT is in my opinion unethical. There are a number of reasons why they wouldn't want to disband, and to threaten to add them to a list that will make their endgame experience bad goes way over the line of reason and crosses into fanaticism. While you may believe the expression "if you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem", I believe that is an excuse for fanaticism. There's no logic, no reasoning, and no negotiating with that kind of mentality.

So long as this list contains people who merely PT with RMTers, I will never make use of it or refer to it. I won't check and see if the corpse that's lying on the ground is someone who is really an RMT, and I may even give them a raise since I don't check this list. Flame me as a supporter of RMT if you will, but the people who have been on Seraph who know who I am will back me up 100% as a bonafide contributor to this server.

I am expressing my views here in the hopes that the list maintainer will see that while crusading against RMTers is a noble goal, listing people who are merely not part of the solution is a misguided, unethical, and unreasonable reaction to the growing RMT problem.

This is exactly the kind of fanaticism my post addresses. There's no thinking beyond what was immediately apparent in that situation. Were those players ever asked why they are playing? Were their views on it ever considered beyond mere courtesy? Was any thought put into whether or not asking them to disband would be a severe inconvenience to them and the time they put into getting into the PT?

This kind of forceful branding of people who refuse to submit to what amounts to a threat is what I and I imagine a number of others also consider way over the line.

They can stay and PT with the sellers then. Many did and say they did not care. The PTs with sellers is for serious people who care about the game to look at and see who is helping this game be ruined.

I'm a serious player, who seriously contributed to this game and this server in more ways than I can count for years, years before any of you NA whelps (no offense) even set foot in Seraph. I still don't see how my disagreeing with you makes me any less serious of a player nor any less concerned about the RMT problem.
