Y'know, for the life of me, I do believe they actually aren't out there at all, honestly, they just kinda "show up" at the gates in Al Zahbi. I have been out in both Wajaom Woodlands and Bhaflau Thickets during an advance beacuse I was curious about the same thing, and I got the system message that they've invaded, but I've never seen a single Mamool Ja, Troll, or Lamia move past me to the zoneline. Go figure.

Yes they are, take a step outside. The beastmen armies definitely advance.

Its fun to slow down the fight by attacking the nms outside, if you don't keep doing damage to them they blow you off and keep going.
