It acutally works really trick. You cast shadows, keep shadows up with Hasso, so you're getting the strength and haste bonus, then when you get caught with no shadows throw up seigan + third eye, this gives you time to cast utsu-ichi, then throw Hasso bck up. If you have tons of hate and the mob isn't turning. Keep segan up and between Ni and ichi you can use third eye which can help buy you time until your shadow timer is up, or use it then cast ichi. Shadows over-write third eye.

/DNC is another option. It really helped our SAMs for the later parts of CoP. I've used it in several WG bird parties cuz they were too impatient for me to change (not arguing when free snk/invis). The Dnc acc bonus, Step enfeebs, Samba, and patchwork Curing Waltz's are all nice too. Soboro takes SAM/DNC from {Incredibly Tough} to {Impossible to Guage}. SAM/DNC is a force to be reckoned with even without a Soboro. Solo'n /DNC is awesome fun too.

/NIN as well... shadows shadows shadows. I believe this is really good for those merit parties light on healing. Also gets you out to the campsite with snk/invis available from Ninjutsu. I've wanted to attempt coming to a party duo-wielding Katana's for sh!ts and g!ggles but just haven't gotten the spare gil for the prank.

/RNG I'm holding off on cuz I only have 23 Rng and gimpt Archery... as far as I've heard it's only good for the Archery aspect (aCP). I'd assume Soboro would be awesome for this /sub cuz you're not doing GK WSs and so the low dmg and lack of STR mod doesn't matter; but, you're raking in TP like a demon for Archery WS's.

My dancer is super lower too, like 13 I think, and I would probably only use that if I was soloing/duoing.

haha, yeah, FoV is nice. I usually play with a group of friends so I dont normally have that problem. When I do end up FoVing, its with a RDM.

Is an Ecphoria Ring worth buying? 1 acc less than snipers, but with 1 store tp. Seems like a good buy to me. Just want to double check.

For non-DNCs, Store TP is pointless unless it reduces the number of hits it takes to reach 100 TP. In other words, it's completely useless except in certain specific quantities.

Since most people aren't 1 Store TP point short of shaving off one hit, the point of Ecphoria Ring for most people is to provide a cheaper alternative a Sniper or Woodsman Ring.

Just don't get talked into using a charge on the Ecphoria Ring... Amnesia will go away... that first charge you use costs 60k^^

I resold mine for 10k more than I paid. Got me thru w/o Snipers until I had a good method to get gil.

The great thing about buying SAM equip is that a shyt load of it can be reused on MNK and NIN. That's a win/win in my book -thumbs up wink-

And remember, if you are playing SAM and never get invited to pts, it's because all the pts are full at the moment. EVERYONE FKN WANTS SAMS for xp/merit/housecleaning/massages.... etcetctectect

Or that there are no tanks or healers seeking at the moment so exp parties can't be formed. (Substitute 'Bards' for 'tanks' for merit parties, though healers are in even direr shortage.)

Was in a Level Sync 55 party with a NIN tank; he was doing 3.01% of the total damage output with an underwhelming 27.53% melee accuracy, geared in what looked like most AF (synched down). Even a turtle PLD can out damage that NIN.

The NIN couldn't land 4 out 5 Kurayami: Ni (and only attempted 5 times out of 60 fights), and didn't even bother with Hojo: Ni (which is a NIN's best debuff).

And I consider myself lucky to have a party with a tank like that; first time in three nights of seeking I got an invite on SAM. Exp level tanks are that rare on Ifrit... (Merit wise, healers--rather, RDMs--are hard to find. Not bringing my RDM out of merit-retirement, though; I really don't need more merit points at the moment.)

Before someone say I could have tanked the birds on SAM, let's just say I used Seigan+Third Eye plenty of times anyway, and the number of times the bird killed off Third Eye on first attack was distressing. Eyeballing it, Third Eye lasts on average of about 12 seconds under pressure, if not shorter.

Yeah, even with a decent NIN tank, I end up getting the mob if I dont just turn around and wait a second.

It's also the only way to cure Amnesia because SE are sadists who won't give WHM one single spell or tweak Erase or Esuna to cure it. Then again knowing SE SCH will get a way to cure Amnesia before WHM will and it'll be a SCH38 spell .

I would recommend camping it. Its not really worth buying, you can get store tp from a lot of different places that dont cost as much. Plus merits, plus an engetsuto, you dont need store tp +1
