Trust me, doing the following will have a large impact for you: Merit 5/5 Store TP in your category 1 merits Merit Great Katana skill For your TP set, swap out the Dusk Trousers for Shinimusha Haidate, and OKote for Hachiman Kote. Replace the Warwolf Belt with a Life Belt, and your Coral Earring for a Minuet Earring. Swap out the Mythril Grip +1 for a Pole Grip. For WS use what you're using now, except swap in Hachiman Sune-Ate for the feet slot.

This is my current setup, may give you some guidance: Walahra turban (will replace with Askar Head once I get)/ Wyvern Helm Askar Body/Kirin Osode Hachiman Kote (will replace with Dusk Gloves once I finish my last STP merit)/Alky bracelet Chivalrous Chain/Snow Gorget Forager's Mantle Swift Belt/ Warwolf Belt Byakko's Haidates/Forth schloss (working on getting Hachiryu's Haidates) Fuma Sun-ate/ Rutter Sabatons Ethereal Earring (cause I have Suppa for other jobs)/Triumph Earring Brutal Earring/Brutal Earring Raja's Ring Ulthalium's Ring/Flame Ring Black Tathlum Hagun Polearm Grip The easiest quick upgrades I can recommend would be: 1) Polearm Grip, DA increase is always good 2) Rutter Sabatons, just need an Air Tank (50k from bazaar or rare drop from Hobgoblin Blagger in Bibiki) to spawn NM in Newton Moldolopolis which can be duo'd by either a blink tank/DD Nin or Mnk and a Healer. NOTE: Make sure the Nin or Mnk has a decent subtle blow build for this NM, if you feed too much TP too fast then it spams a nasty AoE move. 3) If Sam is going to be your main overall, then get the Bushi earring from DM fight. I do a lot of dual wielding jobs, so I prefer the Suppa. 4) Swift Belt, gives you a bit of Acc and haste +4% As you can see from my build, I go with the haste/DA build for my TPing, then Str/DA for WS. Sometimes I just use Haidates on for WS as I never see any real diff in the damage output from the +4 str pants. I see a bit more Acc on WS, but no parser info to back, so it's just what works for me. The Hachiryu Haidates though are just sick with +10 Str +5 Att that just can't be passed up if you either do ZNM or have a shit ton of money (yay for 1/2 on Kclub!) |

Necro post but I started the thread so who cares ^^ better than starting a new one when its all here Current tp: Weapon:Hagun Sub: pole grip Range: Tilapia sting Head:Wallmart Turban Ear 1 Fowling Earring Ear 2 Minuet erring Body hauby Hands:Hachiman kote Ring 1 snipers ring Ring 2 ecphoria ring Back: amemet mantle +1 Belt: Potent belt Legs: shura haidaite Feet Hatchiman feet WS gear Weapon:Hagun Sub: pole grip Range: Tilapia sting Head:Wyvern helm Ear 1 Fowling Earring Ear 2 Minuet erring Body Kirin's osode Hands Pallas bracers (thinking bout upgrading to the level 70 piece but there 900k atm) Ring 1 victory ring (550k for a 2nd flame ring is not worth it when Im working hard on sea hoping to have my rajas soon) Ring 2 flame ring Back} these 2 i have issues. I was swapping the warwolf belf in at the cost of acc but increaded my emnity which I dont like Belt } so I kept the potent belt and bought a psilos mantle +1 to swap out the back piece and manitain my acc +8. Not sure which is better tho yet. Mite not swap either and keep the +15 att to raise my dmg cap. Legs shura haidaite Feet hachiman feet Any one see any glaring mistakes that I'm making with my swaps. I'm the main SATA sam for sky runs so I dont have more that 6 possible swaps available at one time pre ws.

Tilapia lol That's a fish. Anyways, it looks fine. I'd stick with the amemet +1 and warwolf for the WS gear thhough. If you're SATAing, the enmity just means more hate for the tank, which is always a good thing. |

My Mood: | Re: samurai ws damage Thats what I though but I recently upgraded from ominuaru to hagun and noticed I miss more ws than i used to so Like having the acc there, I agree about the cape tho, I just saw someone using it and thought I'd try it out. Going to have one slot spare on myws swap macro now, back to the drawing board I think see if I can squeeze any more outa these WS. I was gutted to find out that a SA ws can miss, all it takes is the mob to turn a bit >< happens occasionally when trying to SA WS kirin when its being kited around the room.

Besides, Gyotsha specified Warwolf for SATA. Accuracy is irrelevant for SA.

>.> I WS in Warwolf regardless. 5 STR is beefy (and you're still technically getting 4 acc from the +5 DEX) However if acc is that big an issue use potent belt. +3 STR and +8 Accuracy is still pretty damned good for WS. |

Accuracy still counts if the mob moves like I mentioned above but thats mainly when were fighting kirin and he turns slightly, SA doesnt apply when your not right behind the mob so you can still miss. Its not that I'm parsing its just an observation that I seemed to miss more ws than I used to but it could just be due to the randomness of the game. I once missed 5 in a row due to bad luck on the rolls. Couldnt believe it, I wasnt blinded or debuffed and the mob hadnt PD just normal campaign mobs. Like I got all my misses for the day in 1 go.
