Am I worrying too much about gear 34-40?

I'm leveling SAM as my first main, and am absolutely loving the job (level 28 now). However, I've been doing a good bit of research, and it seems the most highly recommended gear for my next 15 levels or so is going to come at a pretty steep price.

Things like P.Charm and Fumas aside, I'd still like to have O.Kote, Jujitsu Gi(def. getting this), and Snipers by level 40. Considering my highest job right now is WAR 37, and secondly SAM 28, am I being unrealistic with the goals I'm setting?

I know after a long enough time I can accummulate any amount of gil, but for a non-crazy person, should I wait until post-40 to get most of that stuff, or at 37WAR/THF are there areas where farming can be lucrative enough to get everything in reasonable amount of time?

Also, should I even dream of getting Soboro at 50?

It's not worth saving up 500k for O Kote. Camp the EX version when you're high enough to kill the NM. You can save some time by replacing one Sniper's with Venerer Ring.

People never expect people to have perfect gear on their first job to 75. Not everyone can afford to buy the HQ version of every single bit of gear that comes out. There are generally things that you should have, O Kotes on a SAM, MNK or NIN is one but I don't think it's expected at Lv30 unless you're talking to some elitist.

Honestly I don't think anyone is going to care about you not having O Kotes before Lv40 nevermind expect you to have them. I don't think I ever saw people wearing O Kotes in exp parties until about Lv61

ya i still dont have O.Kotes im 0/56 on them its nice to have but not a must.
