self sc
well i remember readding about self cs from early lvl as 30, but thats if youre lucky, and thats with out using 2hr, it was either on this forum or allakazham.A 75 sam told me is poss to do it in the 50s but it all depends on your gear and your skills as sam, i dont have a saboro but i miss the sc window by 1 sec or so when i try it, any one can give me advice or ideas on how to acomplish this?

Normally when i have 100tp i hit mog, count to 4 and then do my meditate/ws macro, n as soon as i hit 100 tp i use the next ws, but i always seem to come up short by like a sec or less.

p.s
I count to 4 cuz some one told me that a gkt. with a 450, or 460 dont remember, has a 6 or 6.+ sec delay so he told me to count to 4 n then use macro. Is this true or even a good idea?

Re: self sc
I time it with the next swing, not sure of how many seconds it is but after that many lvs of watching gk swinging I can time it almost perfect. I also have alot of store TP gear which gives me 3% more than a normal hit I think. Main thing I found helps is having your ws macro go instantly. I used to have it say in PT and then wait 1 before going and this caused me to gain 20TP from Meditate before first weaponskill and Id always come up short for the sc. Now that I figured that out I can self sc pretty easily.

You won't make it on his "Kind Master" list doing that. If you're determined to punish him, sneak in a hit at like, 10% or so, just for the element of surprise. Although his facial expression exudes an air of flinching preparedness at all times, he'll never see it coming.

Re: self sc
I used to do this often, even PLM with lower delays work nicely, if you have it leveled.

Get about 88-90TP and as your 'about' to swing, hit meditate quickly and then your WS almost instantly after it, I believe... It has been a while.

So by the time your WS has gone off, you've already hit your first tier of 20TP from meditate, by the time your build has gotten 80TP or so, you should have had about 1-2 swings in to push you over 100TP early.

Re: self sc
I don't have the link, but if you ever find Delequoix's Self Renkei videos they're very helpful.

The delay for a standard 450 GKT is 6.2 seconds.

Re: self sc
Can't be counted on every single time, but with Meditate and Soboro Sukehiro (Lv.50), it is possible to self SC Tachi: Enpi > Tachi: Jinpu for Distortion fairly often. (Watched a friend of mine trying to MPK himself with that.)

I'd imagine it'd be even easier with /DRG for Jump.

Edit:
Opps. Missed the part in OP about not having a Soboro. >_>;

Re: self sc
Luisa - it's possible to do it without /DRG, or /WAR (for double attack), or Soboro, or even extra Store TP gear.
Those just make it a heck of a lot easier

But as mentioned above, it's basically Meditate followed immediately by a WS.
Chances are the first 20% chunk of Meditate TP went to that first WS, but that's ok - as long as you get 2 swings in plus your remaining 80% TP coming to you, it should do it.
(or, alternatively, if you have aggro, 1 swing plus the TP you get from being attacked, should also do it - with luck...)

The catch is timing it so that you swing ASAP after your WS, because an extra 1 or 2 seconds delay (or any subsequent misses), will cause you to miss the skillchain window on your second WS.

Just takes practice, that's all.
