Question I think I must be missing something...

OK, after levelling DRG to 75, I'm now hooked on SAM. I had previously taken it 32, at which point I quit it, and finished taking DRG to 75. Now that I've taken it back up again after the updates, I have a few questions.

1.) I'm level 32, and I'm toying with Hasso. I noticed that it lasts for a LONG time. 3-5 minutes I think. But I noticed that the re-cast timer on it is only 1 minute. This means that I can re-activate Hasso while it is still active on me. Is there a reason for this? I've never seen an ability that lasts longer than it's recast timer (outside of spells obviously).

2.) What's the deal with stacking abilities? Does Third Eye over-ride our level 35 ability? Or what's going on?

I'm sorry for the noobie questions, but I'm at work, and don't have access to many other sites at all right now, as I'm behind a pretty strict proxy server. Anonymous proxies take FOREVER to load. Sprint proxy servers ftl. ><

Re: I think I must be missing something...

Both Hasso and Seigan have 1 minute timer, but last 5 minutes. Also, Hasso and Seigan overwrites each others. Basically it gives you the freedom to switch between Hasso and Seigan back and forth (restricted by 1 minute timer).

Because both JA last 5 minutes, and have 1 minute /recast timer, when switching between Hasso and Seigan, you don't need to worry much about the timer. While SAM is DD, For example:

SAM starts with Hasso.
2 or 3 minutes later in a battle SAM pulls hate. (Both Hasso and Seigan timer are ready for use at this point)
SAM uses Third Eye and Seigan.
After a few anticipate and counterattack, the tank gets hate back in control.
SAM uses Hasso.
A minute later, both Hasso and Seigan timer is ready for use again. (Seigan timer should be ready before Hasso in this example)

OK, sorry to do this to ya, but what does Seigan give me? Is there a point where I should use Seigan (when I get it) instead of Hasso? I ask because I'm not seeing a situation where I would ever NOT want to have Hasso active.

Seigan enhance Third Eye

Without Seigan, Third Eye now last 30 seconds, with 1 minute timer.

With Seigan, Third Eye last 30 seconds, timer reduces to 30 seconds, have the ability to anticipate or counter multiple rounds of attack.

When using Third Eye without Seigan, Third Eye only anticipate one round of attack (I never see more than one round).

When using Third Eye + Seigan, it is common to see something like:
SAM anticipate the mob's attack.
SAM anticipate the mob's attack.
SAM evades the mob's attack.
SAM anticipate the mob's attack.
SAM parries the mob's attack.
SAM counterattack the mob's attack. The mob takes ?? damage.
Third Eye wears off.

It is like mini version of NIN's shadows, very handy for off tank, SATA partner, etc.

Re: I think I must be missing something...

It gives you more defensive capability. You can either select High Jump / Super Jump rather than Seigan if your H/S Jumps are up.
