Blood and Gore Demon locations..

Hey can someone pin point where they spawn here ?

The spots Taskmage circled have blood demons along with abyssal, arch and doom (and ahrimans in the hallways). I think gore demons spawn in the lowest depths (i.e. the fourth map), and are significantly higher level than blood.

A RDM75 can solo blood demons (/NIN not necessary), so as a SAM70, you can probably duo them with a WHM, RDM or SMN near your level, maybe even a healer NPC. You may want to wear more defense gear than in exp, or eat some of those +def riceballs. (As usual for soloing/duoing, heavy +acc is not necessary.)

The safest camp is the hallway, but you have to kill an ahriman first. If you can kill fast enough to keep the room clear you can camp in the middle of the room, but with multiple demons wandering around links/adds are possible. Testimony drop rate is not that good without TH.

Some rooms have one spot with a 100% chance of blood demon, others have two spots with 50/50 blood or something else. I don't think there are any rooms that average more than one blood demon per pop cycle. If you have a large group you can split up to cover multiple rooms, but moving back and forth is generally not worth the hassle - you're better off just waiting for the repops. Blood and the other demons of their level can also drop Zvahl coffer key which is used in some AF, so if you need to find more people, be sure to mention that.

Somebody should probably mention how to get there, since it isn't obvious looking at the map. If you wanted to get to the northeast circled room, for example, you'd need to go to the big pit on the second map at I-6 and drop down between the torches. If you drop straight down there's a ledge to catch you that leads to the room with the coffer/sam test mobs.

Thanks. I did go with a coffer key party and spent 2 hours on it. No testimony but gotten 3 keys. Are my chances better with Gore demons? I went to the highest ledge by the way where 1 blood demon pops from time to time.

The drop's just like that. If you need a test, you'll get 3 keys; if you need a key you'll get 3 tests. I don't know of Gore has a better drop rate, but they're level 71-73 so they'll be a lot harder to kill, and they don't drop coffer keys so it'll be harder to find people to help you kill them.

All beastmen keys are fickle. That's just the way the ball bounces sometimes. As far as I'm aware, all mobs that drop the keys have the same chance to drop it - affected only by Treasure Hunter traits.

Had someone telling me that the actual drop rate on the Yagudo near Tzee Xicu's pop spot has a higher drop rate for testimony but... you gota deal with getting there/waiting for each place holder to repop. I'd rather beat up a bunch demons but this is an option as well.
