Nearly 70
The Samurai Testimony, where is the best place to get it?

Regarding the Maat fight, what are the usual preparations? I guess I have to stack some Hi-Pots and some special food. Does he have any special attacks that have a status effect?

Re: Nearly 70
Easiest place to get the key is Blood Demons in Zvahl. If you know a pld, war or brd that needs the coffer for AF you can make a key party and kill two birds with one stone.

Maat has whatever abilities you have, only he uses hand to hand ws, so no status to speak of. The two sam Maat vids I've seen went like this: Meditate, wait for 100%, Blink Band, Sole Sushi, spam WS w/ Meikyo Shisui ftw. One used Yukikaze > Gekko > Yukikaze > Gekko (Frag, Fusion, Frag), the other one used Yukikaze > Gekko > Gekko > Gekko. The one with more skillchains seemed to win faster.

Yellow Curry ftw, it's an awesome food on top of that effect, so I'd suggest it, it has nice Str/Attack bonuses so do it! And good luck on getting your testi/fight :O

Thanks to Roguewolf for the sig. :D

Re: Nearly 70
One problem with the Blink Band, I think the effects will be negated by 3rd eye so Im not sure its going to be effective if its random.

Re: Nearly 70
Blink Band absorbs three hits. Third Eye only blocks the next one, right? Three hits is still more damage than one, even if you can't predict which three they will be. I guess you could always use Third Eye after the Blink effect wears off, but at that point the fight should be half over already.

Maat uses Tackle in both the vids I have, and each time the stun effect wore off almost instantly. At any rate, it didn't last long enough to interrupt the sam's skillchain, so resist stun is probably extraneous. I think accuracy food is probably favored over attack food for this fight. Those 4 WS did just exactly enough damage to finish Maat. The sam who used Yuki > Gekko > Gekko > Gekko took one additional katana swing to end the fight. Yukikaze and Gekko are both one-hit ws, and if even one of them had missed it would've been game over. Both sams came through with less than a third of their life, so I don't think there would be time to meditate up a 5th WS to pull out the win unless you took an icarus wing with you as insurance.

Re: Nearly 70
I just did mine rrrecently so ill sharrre what I did.

Went in (wanted a good fight so i went in with best gearrr i had equiped)

Rrrun in Salute maat, take an incarrrus wing, rrrun up to maat thirrrd eye, then i attack. Rrright away i use Yukikaze, then he starrrts doing 2 ws rrright away, i thought i was dead so i just 2 hourrr, Gekko, Meditate, Yakikaze, Gekko.

That was it . i had half my hp left, and brrroke rrrecorrrd (which was my goal)

No food, no hi-potions (just the incarrrus wing, which was a waste becuase i still had 100TP left at the end ) and i was lvl 70sam and i rrregrrrat using thirrrd eye could have shaved off a few morrre seconds on the rrrecorrrd heh

Hope this helps.

Re: Nearly 70
To be completly honest I didnt rrreally notice the dmg he did to me >_< with the exception of those 2 firrrst ws, (at least i think they wherrre ) He did 2 differrrent moves that did a moderrrate chunk of dmg, as forrr his rrreg dmg, i didnt notice my HP barrr go down to fast on them. My 2nd Yukikaze (last one i did) took a big chunk of his hp though =P ( i did have thirrrd eye up also though) entirrre thing lasted 1:21 but i took time to use incarrrus wing , salute, and thirrrd eye, i think what helped me out the most was that i didnt give him enough time to hurrrt me go in 2 hourrr its overrr (thats what I thought going in, used it, worrrked ^.^ ) So i say, whoeverrr gets to 2HR firrrst wins the fight , unless he stuns you orrr you miss a ws, (nietherrr of those happend to me)

Icarus Wing > Vitality Potion. If you're going to medicate yourself, use the one that will let you win.

Once there find a spawn point on the ground near Parradamo Tor mountain called the Luminat. When you click on it you'll recieve a "Mimeo Stone". Now that you've got it, you get to keep it for 1 hour before it fades away. In order to get the Regain Feather you've got to get to the top of the mountain and place the Stone in the Cradle of Rebirth before you recieve the first "The light from the Mimeo Stone starts to fade" message (15min after getting the stone). Makeing it up this mountain isn't easy, it's a long trip and one wrong turn will ruin it, and you can easily fall off as there are no boundaries to keep you up. On the allakhzam forums there is a guide on how to get up in the CoP mission area, I can't link to it right now because I'm at work and alla is blocked. I suggest taking some time and learning how to get up the mountain until you're comfortable with it. Good luck.

Re: Nearly 70
Beat him last night

Gear: Hachiman gear + Sukesada
Blink Band , Yellow Curry and a Pear au Lait.

I did Yukikaze > Gekko, Yukikaze > Gekko.
He did use his 2 hour ahead of me but my Blinks took in the damage. He never used Asuran fists though. I ended up with 210 HP. I forgot to use Meditate and 3rd eye in the middle of the fight since it all went so fast. I meditated when I got in, waited till my Meditate ability is nearly available, buffed up and went after him.

By the way, Yellow Curry is supposed to help me resist the stun, I did get a message near the end that I was no longer stunned. I guess that means it works half of the time?

I brought some Vile Elixir and an Icarus wing but never did get to use them which is good since I need the money.

The hard part is getting the testimony since I spent quite a bit of time down in Castle Bailey.
