Re: I have always wondered hands equipment
Go for the Federation Tekko, since accuracy is very important for 2H weapon melee.

Re: I have always wondered hands equipment
Yeah fishing is a good way to make money especially for me when you have a cooking lvl to make most your bait but although it is nice money I am just trying to get to 50 before I go crazy making money to get a peti and some other nice gear and later on a hauby.

TY anyway for all the ppl who put in there reasons i already have my rse so i will prolly just buy the federation gloves and macro them

Re: I have always wondered hands equipment
O kotes is a waste of gil, too overpriced. use tekko til 50 and grab some enkalado's and you will notice a huge difference in your dmg.

Re: I have always wondered hands equipment
I have to disagree on the Kotes not being worth it. I camped them myself (when they were 7 mil, then they went up to 10 mil, now down to 4 mil) and got it second kill (and second claim).

I've found that while the whole STR is the bowl and ATT is the water, our bowl is bigger than one may think. This is most prevalent in endgame when 90% of the monsters you're fighting will be VT or lower.

This is all coming from a monk's point of view, but really the only difference between MNK and SAM is how much STR modification is on their best WS.

And don't get me wrong, I have spend a LOT on my STR, so I've had many chances to try it. One thing I notice a lot is boosting (A pure ATT increase to your next attack round) has a severe effect on my Low-modification WS. For example, I have had dual minuet with all my ATT gear on, and dual Etude with all my STR gear. I then dish out an Asuran Fists - Minuet wins every time. (If you don't know, it's about +25 ATT for III and +35 ATT for IV, give or take. So O.Kote and a single Merman's earring is like having MInuet III all the time. Add an Amemet Mantle and you got Minuet IV)

I also understand that SAM endgame WS are heavily STR dependant, but if you can get the 57ish cap on other gear, I strongly suggest getting O.Kotes (and I suggest camping them yourself along with Fuma Kyahan)

In summary, I've found ATT to be massively more effective in DoT than STR, because most of the time, our residual STR from random gear will put us over a VT or less, and ATT will cause much more damage (as it takes much more to reach its cap compared to the monster's defense)

Thanks for listening. Good luck.

Re: I have always wondered hands equipment
I have Enkel and Ochiudo's. Ochiudo's are worth it, bottom line. Enkel's are only used when using WS above Lv60+ with Yukikaze, Gekko, & Kasha. If you run a parser you will see that you do more damage with the Ochiudo's than Enkel. Many players are telling themselves that not having Ochiudo's is okay because of their high price. The thing is, Ochiudo's are one of the best hand equipment in the game and lasts until Lv75.
