Post 30 SAM Question

About to start lvlin again with my 30 SAM, and im just curious, how is meditate gonna change the role of SAM from now on? Will it be harder in PTs now? Or will the lvling go faster thanks to the help Med and the rest of the pt having lvl 30 JA?

Just curious ^^

Btw i have been lvling up to 30 around kazham, should i continue here still now that im 30 or is there any other areas i should go to?

meditate makes sam rock

you don't truly become a skillchain master until you learn meditate. once you learn it, you can skillchain with two people in the pt at the same time... or with yourself, if you're fast (i've seen it done in screenshots/videos, but never in person... like this http://souru.agnostic.us/FFXI/3-way-light.wmv )

typically, you stay in kazam until level 30, then you move to either garliage citadel or eastern altepa desert (seek party in jeuno). you'll need the gate crystal to reach altepa though. if you don't have the crystal, it's a long walk through korroloka tunnel (sp) starting at bastok mines. it'll take you maybe like a hour to run there, so you can't do it with a party waiting.

sam is my favoite dd in the game (next to ranger, of course

Alright thanks for the reply! I cant wait! Btw altepa is the one in the desert which u pass on your way to that sanctuary place (the place where you killed that Tree ent for the SAM quest ) right? If so......YES I GOT A GATE CRYSTAL! If not...................ill just go cry in my closet then.........

yeah, i've been taking a break, hehe

no, that desert wasn't altepa. you're referring to tahrongi canyon/ saurmongue campaign. the crystal you got was mea, not altepa.

to reach altepa, you start in bastok mines, head... erm, west, i think, and enter korroloka tunnel (bring sneak oil)

after you navigate your way through the tunnel, when you come out on the other end, you'll be in a desert. without a map or a guide, you're sure to get lost...

a windower is a type of cheating program. it shows how much tp your party members have, etc., and it does other things too. i don't know what all it does because, as i said, i don't have one

you can get banned or suspended if the gm's catch you using one.

No...a windower enables windowed mode. In other words, you can resize your window size and are able to browse the net, listen to music, get on an instant messger all while playing the game. Many PC games have this options built-in to the game, but FFXI is a port of a console game.

The windower is banned, however, the windower itself is not the cheating that the previous poster explained. Those are other things. All the windower lets you do is do other things on your PC while you play the game, which allows for other exploits.

Can GMs detect it? Probably not.
