Yuki works too

You can start cranking out goodness at level 60. Did 985 yuki, 400-ish detonation versus Toramas, low IT's to me.

Just crank str on a switch, go to 200tp, and let fly.
(I'm a mithra. You should get just past 1k.)

I'm a Hume, Lv. 62 SAM/THF.

STR Gear:

Daihannya (3)
Spike Necklace (3)
Cassie Earring (1)
Haubergeon +1 (6)
Pallas's Bracelets (9)
Victory Ring (4)
Victory Ring (4)
Amemit Mantle +1 (2)
Ocean Belt (3)
Myochin Haidate (3)
Marine M Boots (3)

+41 STR.

SATA + Tachi: Yukikaze + 300% TP + IT (Low Def) Torama: 1100+ DMG.

I'll log on today after school and hopefully get a PT. I'll post my maximum damage in that PT since I don't know my specific maximum damage.

P.S. Is Tachi: Gekko based on CHR as well? I know it's based on STR, too.

The tachi's

Tachi: Yukikaze, Gekko and Kasha all have str as their secondary modifier, by 75%.

ANY WP needed ^^
is the thread with all the gold in it.

Basically it says, go all acc until you get 200-ish tp, switch in str in every gear slot possible, and let loose those 800 dmg sataWS.

Gekko has dark elemental part, and Kasha has light elemental part... so you have to use different types VS different mobs. Stay off of Kasha vs Byakko, and don't Gekko vs.. errr... ice resistant stuff... all those ice resistant... hmmm.. err... both mobs, yeah. Hmmm. Why does everyone wanna do distortion now again?

The way I got them described are that they are part elem, part phys ws, strongly tied to STR for damage. That should give you enough meat to experiment with.

(Oh, narmo. If you have a BRD in your pt, ask him to give you Sinewy Etude right before renkei. ^^")

i found the etudes really didn't help much to improve damage.

as for max damage it depends on your katana and +str gear. ith +25str and a zanbato you should be able to pull of 800-900 with 300%tp i was able to do 700-800 with a golden musketeer's and the dmg stat on that is quite a bit lower.

i think str starts capping out around +40, past that you'll start to see extremely diminishing returns for the cost you have to pay.

i think the key to doing 1300-1400 with sam ws is ushikirimaru :/ i can't seem to pass 1250 with my kamewari and i've had bard etudes give me up to +70 and more str :/ barely does more than just normal str equips.

that being said good luck getting one of those, i'm something like 0/15 and i doubt i'll get another shot at zipacna -_-; stingy bastard.

.................... everytime i'm on not doing triggers, or zip not up..... this goes for another sam in my LS....... when we're not on, trigger raid..... fight zip....... they get the g. katana..... goes to the rdm or pld or whoever...... we log on..... "oh guess what... killed zip and that g. katana u wanted dropped......." and "damn man this is the 3rd Ushikirimaru i've dropped!" i think thats worst then going 0/15..... talk about low freaken blow mang..............

oh we beat horns of war..... but no Shinsoku..... heard the dmg output on ws was same as Ushikirimaru..... just with TP drain on it........ going for another try sometimes soon..... wish me luck

I guess now's not a good time to say we've trash several Ushikirimaru. :p We didn't have the drop in a long time, but he's been dropping them pretty frequently lately.

I agree about Etudes. Considering how much they add, you would think they would really help WS damage. I've been able to get over +70 STR with etudes (Though while not all that impressive, as a WAR I also focus on VIT) and hardly noticed a difference. The only thing I think it adds by that point is ATK (And fSTR depending on what you fight). Hell, I've done ~100 less after getting an Etude (~1850 on BB w/o Etude, popped him once ??? came back up, got etude and only did ~1750).

I'm just glad I have a second stat to fall back on. I used to envy the STR_75% SAM got, but now I'm happy that I'm able to raise two stats and not worry as much about a cap.

Gota watch etudes now that square changed them. I was testing them out on a friend with his SATAs and noticed it upped his average a decent amount (with both on, herculean and sinewy). Thing with the new etudes is though, you have to do it shortly after the songs are played because the stat gradually lessens as time goes by. It's no longer all on or all off.

As an Elv sam tho, at 66, You can do 700-9XX at 200 TP

At 300 TP I can get 1k to 1100.

But I think I am capped because of my Daiyhana.

I really wish that the NEW RSE gave us STR ups, or even the older RSE. a Hume at 66 can have I think up to 41+STR at 66 compared to my 36+STR at 66

Let me see my equips

Daiyhana + 3 STR
Fed. HachiMachi + 1 Str
Spike Neck + 3 STR
2 Sun Rings + 6 STR
Elks Braclets + 7 STR
Hauby + 5 STR
Ametit Mantle + 1 STR
AF Legs + 3 STR
Royal KTG's Belt + 2 STR

Besides the lvl 60 STR braclets(1 mil is crap) what else can you get to up str, that I may be missing?

Ahh, I wish I know the darn names for the songs ; ;. I always just get the usual Attack + Accuracy songs.

And as for my max damage in yesterday's PT (which I got after logging on ^_^. Logging out in Onzozo = instant PT <3), it was 1108 ; ;.

If I had a BRD, I could probably past 1200+? I'll have to ask for that one Etude, though.

Other STR items that you can get are..

Voyager's Sallet (I'm trying to find out how you get this; it's looks like a Celata, and the stats are STR+3 / DEX+4. I saw an Elvaan wearing this)
Cassie Earring (Currently 1.1M, but you'd rather get the Pallas's instead of these)
Minuet Earring (Ditto for Cassie Earring, except this costs around 1M)

P.S. Is Minuet Earring worth getting, even if you don't know a BRD?

Well i'm loving it. Especially looking towards end game for earring options. Bushinomimi + Minuet seem top. You could argue triumph for +1 more STR. But most HNM/EXP PTs have a BRD and so the extra 3 ACC is very welcome. I tested damage with it versus corral earring and damage on normal hits were the same, but WS damage will be more beneficial with Minuet Earring than they would Corral earring so yeah, I feel it's worth it even without a Bard.
