both me and serpicatha made the mistake of verifying with our playonline ids instead of ffxionline usernames, so we are unable to post this on the ragnarok forum. if a moderator could move the thread it would be appreciated.

..or better yet fix so we can post on the ragnarok-forum ourselves. ^^

i had that happen to me once, i was lvl 12 bst with a charmed sheep fighting near outpost. i decided to go back to town so i left the sheep fighting another sheep. as i pass by I save jaggedy-eye NM and engaged it. I forgot my sheep was fighting and i guess lost charm. So...it comes back with another sheep and some JPN was there watching, not helping me at all. Once i charmed my sheep and sent it to attack the other sheep the JPN stole my NM. After 2 hr wait i cursed at him so bad he went to away status so i couldn't send /tell. i guess it was my own fault for the sheep.

That is sad indeed...

Something similar happened to some of my LS friends... they were fighting Serket and a random person brought a Fallen major in the middle of the battle, and they tried to sleep the add, but then Serket came unclaimed and another PT stole him... luckly they got killed and my LS friends were able to reclaim Serket again... but the lack of sportsmaship among a lot of NM/HNM hunters is sad, very sad. when will people admit their defeat and try again NEXT time intead of try to screw people over and cheat.

although that guy is an idiot, be aware that there is no such code of honor when hunting HNM / NM. once you join an HNM LS you will see this

That is, honestly, one of the most idiotic things I have seen on these boards... seriously. Basically, you would rather kill yourself than let someone get the drop? No... not anyone would do that. It takes a "special" person to see any logic in that.

excuse me what game are you playing.....asian mmo concepts like courtesy and manners are complete hogwash, EVERYONE in this game would sooner let you die, then let you have the NM kill...most people in this game are just cowards....

I can see the logic in letting someone else die so you can get the NM. I still think that is wrong, but there is a point to that because you benefit.

The person above was saying they would rather they die (themself) then let the other person get the NM, and that is just stupid.

you died while holding the NM...well then the people you stole it from could claim it again...what's the fucking point? Amemit would rip though that SAM (assuming by armor she's not too high lvl) in SECOUNDS. But really she's a doosh too

No, read it again.
Hisdon, I think you got the story wrong.

We had a lvl 65+ pt doing skillups on lizards and occasional crabs, with me as a "lowbie" tagging along.

We had intently chosen the spot where amemet spawns so we could tag him and skillup and combine pleasure and plight.

So amemet spawns while we are skilling, and of course we tag him, then finish the lizzy we had, then proceed to kill amemet.

We tagged him, and we stood there uncontested whacking away 1/4th hp. All the time Makopii stood outside of his exp pt, not doing anything but staring at amemet.

Then a lizard spawns, and adds. Of course we don't like lizard adds, so kendlar (our blm) ES+sleepII's the lizard. This makes that lizard prime target (red) and temporarily untags amemet. (white). In this second, makopii uses provoke on amemet, tagging a mob we've waited for, tagged successfully, and built up much hate with.

Since our pld (zarcas) can't gain or hold hate due to target claimed, he gets hit a lot, and then looses aggro, and next on hate list: Blm. So kendlar gets effectively MPK'd because of makopii. No second provoke on amemet. After kendlar is dead, the pld in makopii's pt provokes.

Then they (lvl56 pt at the time) get the SHIT beat outta them by amemet. After 3/6 members are dead, makopii calls for help on amemet, disabling drops until all with hate from amemet are either miles away, dead or zoned. This cost me my life.
(3 jinpus = hate.)

Then after we are all dead and/or zoned, we run back, and some high level JPs are killing amemet. Makes you wonder if they know makopii. And then, the funniest thing of them all, their MNK (won't name names) Said that: "Don't blame us for your own incompetence."

Blah, just reiterating this makes me mad. I'ma go visit my punching bag now. Hope this clears it up.

what kind of fucktard dooshbags do you have on your sever  the people on Midgardsormr least got the balls not to steal a mob if it's name goes yellow a sec from link. The unwritten rule is that when the whole ally/party fighting the NM has died, then it's appropriate for another LS to claim it
