A better question would be why didn't I pick the others..
(Mithra) -Only female.. meh.. and that "more dex and accuracy" stuff is bogus..
(Hume) - This was my second choice.. but... I dunno.
(Taru) - Melee tarus.. just.. I don't have anything against them, but I also don't believe in them.. It's like Galka mages.. =_=
(Galka) - Extra HP, Extra Vit, Good Str, Horrible looks.

Sub- THF
Why mithra, why thf- Mithra for the added DEX, thf for the added evasion higher dex stats and for sneak attack, which I can confirm does stack with tachi: enpi.

Also I've PTied with a same lvl elv sam/war and my WS Stacked with sneak did much more damage also i landed twice as many hits which meant I averaged at least 1 more WS per fight than him. So dont flame my thf sub.

you know.. when you tell people not to flame.. of course they're going to.. if you hadn't said anything i would've overlooked it completely (plus you had to throw in the little shot on elvaans).. but now i must nitpick..

if you're playing samurai to deal lots of damage, you're playing for the wrong reason.. go be one of the billion dragoons out there and pentathrust your heart out, with your little wyvern blowing chunks afterwards ._.

let's check out the pros and cons of each sub, eh?
thf - sneak attack, evasion bonus.
sure alot here.. i mean.. one decent job ability, and 1 sub-par job trait? pffft. at level 60 maybe a viable sub.. then you can fuidama and you get 2 evasion bonuses.

war - provoke, berserk, defender, defense bonus, double attack
ooh.. lots more benefits here.. provoke in case somebody gets in trouble.. berserk for added attack.. defender for when you DO have to take some hits.. defense bonus for when you have to take hits.. and double attack.. what's not to love?

at level 50 which has more benefits? that's right.. war. sure, i sub thf.. when i'm farming.. and hell.. even monk has more bonuses than a thief sub..

mnk - boost, dodge, focus, counter, max hp boost.
well.. boost may not be the greatest, but it does help sometimes >_>; dodge? there's your evasion bonus. focus.. more accuracy.. shweet. counter.. oh.. i love my counter attacks.. because countering for 100 damage is nothing to laugh about. max hp boost? more hp? woot.

as for mithra hitting more often.. get over it.. you don't consistently hit twice as much as anybody the same job with roughly the same level.. i'm sorry, but no. maybe 1 battle, but not all of them. this has been disproven in many a thread.. the only way that is possible is if the other sam had really crappy gear, while you have top of the line stuff (i.e. +acc)

but hey, your game, do as you will. i'm just tired of all the meleers with sub thf and then when the paladin loses hate because a mage is nuking too much or curing too much there's nobody to provoke.. but plenty of people to sneak attack -_-; not to mention all of the melee mithra elitists -_-; 1 H4V T3H PWNZ0R H1T %! PH34R M3!!! -_-;;

lol, kujo412 i said dont flame becaue i knew someone would. For some reason i just love the endless melee sub debate. For the most part I do sub war because PLD are never around when you need them and i have to main tank far too often. I agree that war is a better sub, but the monk thing, hmmm i'll have to try it. As far as Being mithra elite, I might be a bit but only because in the 5 LSs I'm in about 90% of the members are elvaan my server is overrun with them and they think they own the world so i take shots at them whenever the opprotunity arrives. Anyway i'm sure you enjoyed ranting/flaming my reply so my job here is done.
