Samuari vs. Ninja?
Hey guy's i got a question. I'm debating beetween samuari and ninja. I just want to know what u guys think. I want to be the like one of the tanks of the group, dealing alot of damage, and being able to take hits. Which would be better? Would ninja's double attack do more damage than the samuari's 1 attack?

samurai/ninja is a bad idea.
Duel wield isn't as good as it sounds, you hold two weapons, but you attack twice as slow, so the delay is the same as holding one weapon. This is only good if you're holding weapons that give stat boosts.
And if you wanted duel wield with samurai, you would be stuck using 1h sword and or dagger, which are C and E weapons if I remember.

In my opinions, ninjas are almost useless. Higher attack than thieves, but can't do deceiving or backstab.
If you want to do higher damage, and have atleast a little tanking capability, go with samurai.
Ninja is only good for...... well I don't really know what ninja is good for :sweat:

Musashi, you of all people should do SAM/NIN, not because it's good or will be helpful in your PT or anything, but just because your name is Miyamotomusashi in the game, and by going SAM/NIN you can be like the dual-weilding samurai legend in-game (even though nobody will want to PT with you)! ^____^

And from what I've seen in PTs, ninjas make very good tankers, but only if the person is willing to spend a ton of money to cast the Blink ninjutsu, and on top of that the player needs to be alert at all times so he'll be able to re-cast it once the effect wears off.

John Doe, there is a "Miyamotomusasi" (with no h) Galka imposter on Ragnarok as well. If he spoke back to you in Japanese it might have been him, unless it really was this Musashi playing a mean trick on you. Moo!

I figured that must happen to that guy sometimes, because people PM me thinking I'm him.
and I'll say this again.
I WILL kill that galka imposter.
I heard he was a pretty crappy pld too ; P

and valient, I already had this idea. When I get all my Af I'll get ninja to 10, then when I'm just standing around I'll equip a 1h sword and a knife and just stand around looking badass, hahahahahah!

Heh...:sweat: I talked to both of them...including the imposter. I will help get him, so he can stop speaking to me in Japenese!

Well, he is a Galka after all. Galka PLDs get no MP so they probably have a harder time gaining hate. Oh well, off topic.

?l間違いです?` ;__;

Technically you can't be a SAM "at the start" you have to get to lvl 30 first, so level up THF, WAR, or MNK. One of these will probably be yor SAM's sub. (Out of the basic jobs at least.)
