Samurai the Higher Level Job?
I really wouldn't know being that I havent played the game FFXI because my mom had told me not to import it and I missed the Beta testing (nnnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o) I have been straining my brain to pre-select my jobs for my character when I get the English version of FFXI and I wanted my samurai job to be the highest level because from what I've heard its a pretty good class but it's a sub job and I was wondering so I knew before hand how to make it your primary job(if that's possible) or to make it the class with the highest level? I know some of the questions i've asked were some what stupid beyond beleif but just go with this one, thats how i am.

Come I shall lead you to the Promise Land.

It's an expansion job, which puts it in the same range as an advanced job which all require a quest to gain access to. What the f*ck are you smoking? You do the SAM quest, get the job, and you can change it to your main job at the mog house.

There's no way to start off as a Samurai, and it can only be obtained by doing a quest after one of your starting jobs is at level 30 or higher. I suggest you start the game with the job you intend to make your support job, so one that reachs 30 you can switch to Samurai and won't have to bother with leveling up another sub job.

The three melee starting jobs you can choose is Warrior, Monk, and Thief, so level one of those to 30 and then get Samurai. Of course, if you want one of the other advance jobs to be your support then you'll have to raise that as well, but from personal preference I suggest you just stick with Warrior for your support job.
