Re: Warning to new players

Well good news, I found a friendly linkshell in my level range. I healed them when they were battling and they offered me

It's looking brighter...so I'm going to stick it out. I just want to get out of Ronfaure already!

Stick at it!

Me and a friend just started up again very recently. We've been getting by just the two of us, but past experiences make us very aware that the game relies heavily on other people

We're on the lookout for an LS on Fairy, if anyone would be so kind as to invite us in! Esti and Petale are our names

Soloed it as a War/Nin with Sleep bolts, I-Wing and a few Hi-pots. The mobs are actually a bit easier when you solo em since they get less TP and can't use their special attacks as frequently. But in the end it's all luck because if the Eye uses L5 Petrify or the dragon uses it's Curse or Petrify move, you're as good as dead.

Re: Warning to new players

DRG and BLU can solo mission 2-3 with ease. I'm also fairly sure that BLM or SMN + anything can duo it as long as your enfeebling is high enough to land multiple sleeps on Mr Dragon. I have duo'd it as WHM+BLM and BLM+SAM before.

I've never been petrified by the eye, but the Dragon's curse is annoying as hell. But thats why you usually bring another with you to help you kill it. Whats worse is that it doesn't wear off for about 30 mins or so after youve been cursed.

Other than that, if you have a second person with you, it is easy to do it.

Re: Warning to new players

The dragon can be soloed by a Summoner with little luck. Take Shiva out, round the dragon and the eye up, use the two hour and Diamond Dust them dead.

I have done it three times. The first time I went with a buddy. We went to end of ramps, I needed to requip. So told my buddy to wait a sec for me to requip. I switch my gear and charge in, Diamond Dust blasting. Win the fight and a minute later I hear over TeamSpeak, "Ok, I'm back... Hey whats going on!"

Now the Liche and Darklord are another story. Still trying to solo them.
