FFXI Vanadiel Collection 2008 in Canada

Hi, I want to come back to the game but having only the first package that that out I miss 3 expansions. As I didn't have a high level character I want to start from start so I want to buy the 2008 package for the expansions and the free month. The problem is that retail shop near me only have the latest expansion. Amazon.ca doesn't have it either but amazon.com does, but they won't ship to Canada. Direct2Drive list it as available for only USA and Canada but they won't sell it to Canadian customers. I found a copy on ebay.com that was not ridiculously priced but it's used so it's probably a trap. I'm out of options now, why is the game so hard to get, it's like SE doesn't want my money.

I was in the same boat as you, you can either call about every shop (future shop, EB)
and ask them and if they don't have it ask if any locations near yours have it in stock.
Try HMV, Futureshop, Bestbuy, EB Games is your best bet. This is how I got all my expansions:
I bought a code for about $25 to reg and free month, became good friends with a guy who gave
me his van'diel codes that were sitting around so I got all expansions, my IRL friend had the 3
exp disc. Now I have WoTG disc making me have all expansions and still play off my WoTG disc >.>
It was hell just for me to play, but the cheapest way. Every store locally for me said they werent
going to order the old one anymore, discontinued selling it. Best bet > there is none lol. what location
you at in Canada?

I'm in Quebec City. There is still one EBgames I haven't checked but it's my last place too look. I checked the two futureshop, microplay, staples and even wallmart(they don't eve have pc games...) .

If everything else fails I suggest you try importing from Gamestop instead of Amazon.

I would but Gamestop.com is back-ordered on the game... Ebgames.com too(they probably have the same inventory anyways).

Gamestop.com has it but you'd have to pay another 14.99 for S&H and maybe some taxes.

Wow, I checked yesterday late at night and it was backordered. Thanks for the heads up!

EDIT: Even with the pricey shipping it's still a reasonable 30 bucks.

And if importing it directly doesn't work, there's always having someone stateside buy it and ship it; how a friend of mine in Australia got his codes for TAU (he started playing on an NA account).

That, or road trip! You're what, a couple hours away from the US?

Buying from gamestop.com worked perfectly. That's good since I don't have a car or friends in the US. Thanks everyone for the help!

I noticed that the copy from Gamestop says it's the US version and for US servers only. If you've received the copy yet, have you had any problems using it? I'm anxious to buy it but I'd like to make sure I'm getting the right thing.

Gamestop should deliver to Canada >_> that'd be really messed up if they didn't...

Otherwise you'll have to scour every Best Buy/Futureshop or EB/Gamestop you can find ><

yeey I'm from Canada too. Ok look you said "SE don't want your money"? Yes they do but I see what you mean...they make everything hard... Theur costumer service = crap. And nowodays they are kicking people for asking charge back, thats the reason I'm taking a break from the game.
