I can't find old content ID!!

I'm returning to FFXI and I registered Vana'diel collection and all expansion packs. After that, I went to reactivate content ID and it said nothing I can reactivate...

I thought they don't delete your characters?
The characters weren't deleted. WHYYYYYYYY????
If I can't get the characters back, I just wasted the 30 days free. Dammit!!!

Did you go through the "Return to Vana'diel" campaign? The Return Home to Vana'diel Campaign

Yes! It said they can't do that because my account could already be reactivated through Playonline standard method. I chose Type A. Why??

Well the whole thing kind of confuses me so I don't know for sure.

So you deactivated your content ID to stop paying but didn't delete any characters right? Maybe Option B does apply (unsure) but "The applicant has cancelled a FINAL FANTASY XI Content ID, and is unable to use the regular Content ID reactivation process because the reactivation period has passed.
- The applicant has deleted his or her character. " might be the right summary of what you did and I would suggest trying route B too?

Maybe you should contact S.E's help support and explain your situation to them.

How long has the content ID been deactivated by the way? I've had characters on my account deactivated for longer than a year but they've stayed there.

Oh phew, it was type B. I had to purchase 2 new content IDs but not create characters on them and went to the site. It showed all my old characters on the campaign site. Now I can play!!
