Returning Player with a couple of questions....
Im planning on returning to Final Fantasy at the beggining of next month. I had a few questions though. First, I have the original Final Fantasy Disks installed on my PS2 Harddrive. Can I install the new vanadiel 08 collection onto the drive also, and pick up from where I left off on it? Second, I wanted to know if there were still alot of people playing. Before I left 2 years ago, I noticed that Bahamut didn't have nearly as many players as it did when I started. Also I noticed that there were very few white mages, thus making it very hard to put together a party. Maybe this was just me that noticed this. Anyway, thats all I really needed to know. Cant wait to come back!!!!

Re: Returning Player with a couple of questions....
Well, you have nothing to worry about with regard to population. Bahamut has a lot of people on it these days.

You can install the Vanadiel Collection '08 on your PS2 (or rather, the parts that aren't already installed there), and just apply the registration codes for the expansions you don't have to your original account.

Re: Returning Player with a couple of questions....
It sounds like you did not mind trying to put together your own parties, so you may really enjoy the changes. They have improved the XP gained in small parties (2-4 members with Signet) and over many shorter periods (xp rings). You may want to try altering your play style to better suit the less available tanking and main healing positions dependant on your job. You may also make some friends who are willing to play alternative roles. It really isn't hard for a BLM, PLD, PUP, or BLU to turn into a main healer when you are fighting EM-VT enemies and taking less damage. Nor is it very difficult for many DD jobs to become effective tanks (WAR,MNK,SAM,BLU,RDM,PUP,THF) when you have a THF to assist with controlling hate.
