| Defenestrator | Cross-platform installs
I'm thinking of coming back but, this time, picking it up for the 360. However, I'd also like to play it on my pc (when the woman steals the xbox) and am wondering if I could use my old FFXI discs and just install the base and have the rest auto-update based on login and registered expansions. I know it works with SOE type games (you don't even need to install the game, the launcher downloads everything you're registered for) but FFXI expansions all have their own installers so I'm not sure. It's one of the big go/no-go issues for me picking it up this week. If I got it, I wouldn't want to have to buy another copy of Treasures just to get it to run if I wanted to diddle around on my PC for a while. |

you need expansion disks too. they install their own contents seperately.

Feh. Well, my girlfriend got CoP before her sub ended so at least I wouldn't have to shell out for that. There wasn't one between CoP and ToA was there?
